So let me get this straight: His defense to a rape-murder charge is to plead guilty to the rape, and claim it was dark and he was drunk, so he didn’t notice the blood, then sobered up enough to try to conceal the rape once he noticed the victim was dead?
Well, the Brits do have the ‘reasonable doubt’ standard in criminal proceedings, and a lot of really disgusting violent young drunks. I suppose the defense might work. Heck given how nasty young British drunks are reported to be, it might even be true.
