What I can’t figure out is why she thinks she is gorgeous.

Now why couldn’t I have had parents like that? I kept telling them I was a princess, but they’d just yell at me to do the dishes or dust the furniture.
I find it a little hard to believe that there are parents like this. Maybe it’s just hype for the show?

I don't know who's in for a more rude awakening, the girl or the guy who marries her. Considering how nutty her parents are, she's actually pretty grounded. I know her values are screwed up, but within the beauty queen world in which she lives, she probably works hard as all get out.
I do imagine there are a few Barbie dolls with the heads pulled off in her closet. Nobody's that Quaalude happy all the time.

Actually, there’s at least one girl who is more spoiled. A video was going around the Internet about a year ago of a teenaged girl getting a brand-new car from her parents and having a big tantrum because it was the wrong color.
