How’s Greg doing?

He has a dr's appointment today. His knee was doing well, but for the past 2 days it's been giving him pain. No swelling..just pain.

Thanks for the marvelous links, Molly! I liked the one best about preferring “messy” democracy to the stability of tyrants.

I didn’t hear any tv yesterday and spent the day in Waco. Why did clinton cry yesterday? Something untoward happen to the majesty?

Has my memory gone bad, but how many years have we had so many “Super Tuesdays”? I thought we used to have only one. AND, when did the msm start picking the winners before the election? I’m befuzzled.

I love blueberries and strawberry smoothies. That’s what we’ll have today.

The weatherman said we’d have thunderstorms and rain about 0600 today, guess it will happen later.

You have really been getting the snow and ice this winter. It does help the ground for summer planting though. Just trying to see the bright side.

Your post reminded me of one definition of polls: “Polls are the media’s way of saying that when they want your opinion, they’ll give it to you”, or something like that.

That said, anyone who thinks that McCain is going to somehow “take” states like NY or CA in the general is simply smoking something. The media likes Obama, so McCain is the Republican they’d like to see run against him because it would be a repeat of Clinton-Dole race of 1996: the younger, fresher face versus the grizzled war veteran. To some extent, I almost prefer that Obama gets the nomination, because if the sHrill one does, black Democratic voters will conveniently forget all the Clinton slurs and vote en masse for her ANYWAY. And this time, they would slide into irrelevancy for a long, long time. As we have seen with the boo-hoo vote, a couple of tears will win solidarity or pity from a much larger bloc of voters than will race issues.

That’s also one difference between the Dems and the pubbies. Dems do know how to embrace party unity when they need to.

>>Who’s voting today around here??

I am I am !!!

Actually I just got back.....what a pain....I had to pick 12 delegates (each was assigned to a candidate.....but some had not enough..... Romney had 10 delegates and not 12 (i didn’t count them all up for each candidate) - I ended up picking some from Thompson (yep - they were on there) and most from Romney (last minute decision) - I think Fred is directing his to go to McCain - so I guess I had two for McCain and 10 for Romney —how’s that !!!!

Wow1 I have wondered why Fred would throw his vote and/or support to McCain. My visceral dislike will have to be tamed if McCain gets the Republican nod, since we have to win this year!

On that note, you know who I am voting for in thiNovember; the guy with the R after his name.

Obama had Marxist leanings in college....probably still has. But I bet he wouldn’t have gathered the FBI files of his opponents like the Sen from NY.

Neil Boortz was just commenting on the Dems proposing a one time 15% tax on retirement and 401 k savings to fix SS

It’s almost time for the revolution.

Free Republic is very slow right now. And I just had trouble trying to respond to you. Oh man, when you say revolution, I think Russian revolution, not American!

Super links, Molly! Some of the thread comments are even better than the articles, I always enjoy that.

Busy morning today and I have a late afternoon committment with a rehearsal (yes those are starting up again) after that. Think I’ll go put my feet up for a bit.

The demoflops are always fiddling with SS then complain because there’s not enough money in it. I really think, if it wasn’t for SS and health, the demoflops would have nothing to say.

Being the lady that I am, I will refrain from commenting as I would like to.

Good for you! Show them how it's done...

Restraint is not one of the Dems strengths.. when it comes to anger, tears, shouts, or throwing ashtrays, oh , and I forgot the lifting of objects, as in 5 finger discounts!
