Fraud Under the Hood
The NY Post ^ | 02-03-08 | BART HUBBUCH

One could argue that Bill Belichick owes everything to Mo Lewis.

After all, if the Jets New York Jets outside linebacker hadn't almost killed Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe - literally - with that brutal hit seven years ago, Belichick could very well be some team's defensive coordinator today. ....

That is a pathetic article.

Can’t you root for your team for what they are? Or is it somehow important to tear down your opponent?

Just curious.

OK, hit piece on Belichick. So he found some people that don’t like him.

Where’s the “fraud” fit in here?

New Yorkers are the whiniest liberal cry baby losers I have ever seen. It is so enjoyable watching them whine and cry because Boston teams keep trampling on their God given right to win. There world has changed in the 21st century and they just can't take it. ROFL.

I’m a Pats fan, and I enjoy watching them. I gained a HUGE amount of respect for the Giants in that last game of the season.

Not because the game was close. It was because the Giants played all their players, and they played hard. They didn’t have to, and they did get a great deal out of it, even if they did lose a few players. I think it was worth it.

But I see no need for this crap. This is the putrid New York/New Jersey media, and some (Though not all) of the NY fans who need this to somehow get something out of it.

I noticed this guy hasn’t been back into his own thread yet.

If the Pats are so great, why did they have to cheat?

BTW, I’d be just as torqued off if the Giants had done this.

This is the kind of great writing we’ve come to expect from the Post “Jets New York Jets”, and the last I heard Bledsoe was still alive, even was a starting QB after that hit.

Better question: Why did the Pats choose to cheat. Nobody made them do it.

An especially large crop of sour grapes coming out of New York Jersey this season. They make an a very bitter whine. Must be something in the water.

Anyway, the Giants may afford you some vindication this evening, though I hope not.

Between perfection and 18-0 the gods have placed the Superbowl. Hat tip to the winner.

Jints did play well and I’m not going to take them lightly tonight.
Did not start the season as a Pats fan...am one now. Brady is unbelievable.

"Great players make great coaches".

Tom Brady is a great player. In the NFL, your success directly correlates to the quality of your QB. How many teams won a SB without a top-notch QB (Ravens, Bucs, any others?)?

Belicheck without Brady is like Switzer without Aikman...ringless.

Evidently they are better when they don’t cheat since “the incident” this season was in game one and they were never able to use the tapes. They’ve gone 18-0.

Ron Jaworski in the last hour on ESPN said that every team in the league breaks to rules to steal signs from the opposition and that 33 years ago it worked really well for his Eagles against the Los Angeles Rams in the conference championship game because they were able to steal their defensive signals before the game.

If certain people are such insightful football fans, why do they feel a compulsion to wring their hands over and over something that had absolutely no effect on a team’s performance?

I find the answer to that to be very revealing. I usually means they don’t know anything about football. Generally, it also means they watch football the same way that liberals approach politics.

But we'll never know for sure now, will we?

If I'd been a player, the coaching staff would've had to do this over my dead body.

Aside from the fans, how about the monetary aspect? Billions are on the line, at least 20 billion in TV revenue.

Got kids, G? If so, is that what you're telling them? To chalk this all up to whining?
