JimRob made the same choice. If you honestly felt that, you’d stop posting on FR. But you don’t, you’re just a partisan trying to make a point. Try to remember that Free Republic is not a GOP website, it is a conservative website.

We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. ....

From the front page of Free Republic:

Statement by the founder of Free Republic
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. .... We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. .... We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and freedom of association, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is not a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of life.

Time for the FALCONservatives to assert themselves.

The time may soon come where many of us say, like Ronald Reagan’s famous quote regarding the Democrat party, “I didn’t leave the Republican party, the Republican party left me.”

“JimRob made the same choice”

He isn’t running for office that I know of, and he also didn’t start slinging it at others.

“If you honestly felt that, you’d stop posting on FR. But you don’t, you’re just a partisan trying to make a point.”

et tu, Brute? I wasn’t the one posting the same thing on every thread I could find of a candidate I opposed. I’ll leave FR at the time of my or JimRob’s choosing. Not yours.

“Try to remember that Free Republic is not a GOP website, it is a conservative website”

Which is why I post against Huckabee here, because HE IS NO CONSERVATIVE. He’s a nanny-stater with pro-gun and pro-life leanings. Heck, even Howard Dean was OK on guns. huckabee’s record and even some of his current rhetoric is appalling to those who value personal freedom. Nationwide cigarette ban, anyone?

“The time may soon come where many of us say, like Ronald Reagan’s famous quote regarding the Democrat party, “I didn’t leave the Republican party, the Republican party left me.”

May be true. I’m not all that thrilled with the GOP these days, either. They clearly don’t relish getting into the ring and mixing it up with the Dems. They scarcely even whimper when they’re getting beat like a rented mule.

As far as the rest of the front page statement, you don’t have to repeat it here for me, I’ve read it, too. I resent the implication that I don’t understand what this site is about.
