Right on. I’m sure you remember, Fredheads told them that months ago. They wouldn’t listen. It made me wonder if the cheerleader of the Hunter supporters was working for a Democrat candidate, like Hillary maybe. It would all fit. Or maybe a reporter trying to stir things up.

You hit a nerve there, but you are right. Hunter did a disservice to conservatives when he did that endorsement. He didn’t have the best interests of our country in mind.
Then he pulled out of the race, what more does he want from me. So NO I don't miss Fred at all, but I look forward to seeing him in another TV show someday.
Life goes on, I have no intention of being miserable because of Hunter or Fred. Two people I did all I could for to get the word out.
He isn’t running for office that I know of, and he also didn’t start slinging it at others.

He’s a nanny-stater with pro-gun and pro-life leanings. Heck, even Howard Dean was OK on guns. huckabee’s record and even some of his current rhetoric is appalling to those who value personal freedom. Nationwide cigarette ban, anyone?

I don’t have to define conservatism, since many others better than I (yourself NOT included) have done so. Let’s see, there’s Buckley, Goldwater,Hayek, Strauss and so on. Hey, if this board is closed to fiscal and defense conservatives, and the other sub-groups of the Conservative Movement, then I suppose I should move along. I DON’T see that that was JimRob’s intent. If it is, I’m sure he’ll let me know.

Here’s my new tagline that expresses my sentiment well to you.
Since you can’t seem to let JimRob speak for himself, or even do him the courtesy of pinging him, I’ll do it.
He can defend himself, and his decisions, should he need to do so. I don’t think he will feel that need.
I also notice nothing in the Founder’s statement of FR that limits discussion here to SOCONs only. Of course, you probably knew that already. Since you also DON’T know where I stand on practically anything, your namecalling is entirely without merit. Keep it up, though. It really improves your credibility. Since I have yet to be even admonished by Admin Mod or JimRob, I don’t think I’ve violated any precepts here. I suppose I could check with Jim at one of the Freeps here.
My namecalling also hasn’t been admonished. There’s nothing that prevents RINOs from coming onto this website and posting garbage like what you did. Those things apparently aren’t coming into issue as long as JimRob allows it. But your own credibility IS in question, because you are a RINO. Actually, it’s more like CINO. Because the R in RINO has lost its meaning. If you were a conservative, you wouldn’t say what you said.
I wonder, are any "I voted for Fred" people interested in starting an email or list group of some kind (like a yahoo group or something)?
Lastly, I'm still semi-hoping that either McCain or Romney picks Fred as VP, and then wins the general. Then it would be nice to have Fred a "heartbeat away" from the presidency. I think he would be at least as strong a VP as Cheney, and we wouldn't have any of the associated "Bush is dumb" jokes associated with a McCain-Thompson or Romney-Thompson pairing. Because of his background Thompson could be sent to any foreign capital to negotiate on the president's behalf, could help in national security matters, including cleaning up the CIA, and also could help with the Supreme Court process like he did with Roberts. I also think Thompson would be able to successfully hold his tongue when rifts came up between him and the prez, obviously to the dismay of conservatives, but those are the facts of life.
Funny how you know nothing about me and claim to know that I am “crying my eyeballs out.” Just so happens I have decided on another candidate (reluctantly) and his name is Mitt Romney.
