You are right. The begonias can be so fragile. Once that stem is damaged it’s never the same. I’m going to try them in my window boxes this year. I need to be careful watering. I have over watered before. I think that was my trouble in the past. It made the stems mushy and they easily broke. Temperamental aren’t they.

I’m going to a garden show on Monday. I can’t wait to be around flowers/trees and plants blooming again. :)

Have you ever felt sorry for a flower nobody wanted and it was on sale? That was the begonia that I purchased. I thought if I loved and cared for it that I could save it~~LOL~~

I used to belong to a Garden Club for a couple of years but it was in a very busy time of life, still raising children, PTA, room mother, all kinds of ball games they were involved in and I just had too much on my plate!

My mom could make anything grow! She truly had a green thumb and when I was sort of a beginner, my husband would tease me about having a ‘brown thumb’. It was all done in love and laughter, though! Mom and I never went anywhere in the spring that we didn’t come home with more flowers to plant! I long for that again but its gone forever...*sniff*

Did you see the tulips?
