Today's poem:
.
We Dont Die
We are the young and the fearless,
The nimble, and bright of eye.
We are the Force of the Future,
And the ones whose first step is the sky.
We are around you always,
We pester a bit under foot.
But we are the dreams that youve lived for,
And where all your lifes hope has been put.
We are an army of innocents,
Filled with bright hope for our tasks.
We stand here in rows and in columns,
Just waiting for that which Life asks.
Like the waves against rocks at the beachhead,
Where some plumes then ascend to the sky,
Some may transform into angels,
But the rest of us surge right on by.
More than daily we charge to the shore,
As we break down the rocks into sand,
To destroy not just Death but his minions,
Who had thought they could make a firm stand.
Well be here when you have surrendered,
To catch up the flag that may fall.
Well be here. We will always be waiting,
Well be here to answer the call.
