My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Is the picture there and the first blue background of the frame? It does not show up for me.

No jacket required.
Sounds nice for you. It is a chilly 37 here, so any precip will be wet, darn it. I'm still waiting on my big snow!
To: Soaring Feather
All of it is showing for me.

What is your specialty, AD, AM, AE, AT or any other derivative of Group IX Aviation?

I used to be an AQ, but they made me change to AT in the ‘90s. I still party like an ordie. LOL
To: tongue-tied
That is better than being an AB.

Roger that! Fuels would be worse.

If I remember way back when Noah was a deck hand, they had ATR and ATN ratings. Is it still that way? I also remember it changing at E8 or E9.

No more ATR/ATN, but now they have ATO and ATI for O and I level. It sure does make an advancement exam more realistic when you turn wrenches and screwdivers but don't have to answer questions like "What will the voltage drop at C1 be if R33 fails?"
Never knew of ATR/ATN. I heard of ADR for recip and ADT for turbojet, but can't remember different tweets.
To: tongue-tied
ATR = Radar Technician and ATN was for communication equipment. ADR as you said was for recips and ADJ was for jets. As for the question, are we discussing a regenerative feedback circuit? Since the company I work for provides equipment to the US and other Navies, the highest maintenance level for the US Navy is O level both for aircraft and for shipboard equipment.

ADJ...that's right. Was before my time.
No, generally they ask about simple meter circuitry.
This past week I learned about the main fuel control, and how different parts of it provide governing and control though mechanical means. Amazing to me, to see how fuel pressure, air pressure, and RPM measurements can be used to give the same control as a feedback circuit on an electronic system.
Self-correcting power and rotor RPM design through a "carburetor". Who knew?!
To: tongue-tied
The one thing that used to drive the nose-pickers crazy was the propeller control on P3 and C130 aircraft.

Lord, how the day passes! It is like a life, so quickly
when we don't watch it, and so slowly if we do.
