I have a seriouse question about Scottish Clans and Names in them.
I've been researching my family history for over 30 years. My mother's family are fairly easy as they are of German, Prussian ancestry. but my dad's family seems to have various national origins in it from English (Sheltons, Hensleys)
Irish (Riddles) and I suspect Scottish (Halls) though I cannot verify the nationality of that last surname, I nave different origin descriptions of the name "Hall" I am a direct descendant of that family and according to one description the family was part of a larger clan.
HELP!
Before Great Vowel Shift (~1200-1600) It was "Hell".
This means you are a direct descendent of Satan hissssself...
My ancestry is muddled, there’s an Eire in there, and a Scott or two, but any real solid information will have to come from Sionnsar.
Hey, who says Germans are easy? That’s racist! :P
Sorry, I can’t help you, Fritter, I’m mostly German and Norwegian....but I can do a really good English accent! :)
