""It was hard to believe there was a time when everybone was alive and happy. As I looked at the photos, I couldn't believe that so may of these people were dead, divorced, or, worse, living in Floriduh."

Today its 70 on the Florida Panhandle, 75 in Orlando, 75 around the Tampa area, 72 in Miami and a little less than 30 frigid degrees, on average, all around Michigan....

I'm thinking those folks in Florida know something about enjoying life.

Later on it’ll be 100+ in the shade, with little green lizards racing all over the shaded spots so you can’t rest without being slapped with scaley feet..

Oh no, Darlin'. It is pure misery here. We never experience the thrill of Michigan's nightly drive by shootings, the pleasures of watching Motown industries rust, the architectural splendor of abandoned tenements, the excitement of watching Michigan's losing football teams or the neat way that frostbite brings gangrene that resembles expensive abstract tattoos.

That Sharkey sure has got it made. We in the South-on the other hand--have to look at the warm sunshine, sugar sand beaches and bikini clad girlies, indulge ourselves with fresh seafood that does not glow in the dark, and suffer the monotony of BCS football championships year after year. It is so unfair ...
