Hummmm, I see that in 3 out of 4 college football rankings lists, AP, ESPN.com’s power rankings and ESPNU’s All State Standings-Fan’s Poll, that 5 of the top 10 teams are SEC. The USA Today poll has only 4 SEC teams in their top 10.

The bad news: There is only one other school that consistently beats the SEC teams worse than Michigan does.

Besides, the fix is in. I'm betting the SEC champ won't go back to the championship game this year. Prediction: Okahoma or Missouri against USC.

As it should be ... but I think Sharkey's right for once in his miserable life--it will probably be USC and Oklahoma if current form holds.

By the way, didn't Michigan used to have a football team?
