more... remember these photos were taken of a few streets in one section of the city but every neighbrhood in the city looks the same or worse. Today we have huge traffic jams because the traffic lights are still not working properly, most are blinking red or yellow.

Glad you are safe.

Been wild around these here parts at the house. Three weeks ago this past Sat our neighbor across the street and 3 doors down who own 2 weenie dogs are going to be getting an expensive lesson on keeping those mutts in their yard after they mauled my little Ebonie. They really hurt her and she ended up having surgery. She is on the upswing but her medical bills are nearly 1900.00 and that is not including things like the shallow litter pan I had to get for her or that “yesteray’s news” litter that won’t stick to the wounds or the bags of puppy wee wee pads for her bedding..so as you can see I have been between the pet ER and the normal vet..

The trip to Iceland was great..saw lots of wonderful scenery, collected sea glass, got up to a glacier, dug for chrystals, and enjoyed shopping and site seeing. The folks there are like nowhere else..warm and friendly and welcoming.

STay safe all you who are in the line of fire from the storms.

Hi, Ceegee, Thankseversomuch :) Its was pretty scary for a few hours and it will take the city a long time to recover but we learned a lot from the mistakes of Katrina so it should be a smoother recovery this time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your little Ebonie but so happy that she is on the mend. You have the darnest luck with your menagerie.

Thanks for the postive report on Iceland. It sounds like you really enjoyed yourself.

Ah, noooo.... when the earth moves under me I'd rather it be for something pleasurable not scary. LOL

Thanks. We’re all holding our breath, just hoping and praying that Ike fizzles out or makes landfall in some sparsely inhabited location a long, long way from us.

Take note that they don’t DARE come to Oregon. We’re not having the likes of Ike ever show up and get away with it! :P
