What has happened to Brian Lamb? (Vanity)

Posted on 01/25/2008 10:04:17 AM PST by wideminded

Brian Lamb was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush on November 5th. The last time Lamb appeared on a live C-SPAN show was November 30th. This was the last of 13 weekly shows on presidential libraries so his appearance was expected. His voice sounded very bad as if something was wrong with his throat and a caller commented on his "cold", but if it was a cold it was very bad one indeed. He normally hosts Washington Journal on Friday mornings. He has now missed 8 of these shows. Last Friday he was on a recorded Q&A program interviewing an expert on cancer.

And what do you believe the Savage Nation was praying for?

Susan Swain, another CSPAN Washington Journal host said that Brian Lamb has grown tired of having to get up at 3 in the morning to do the program at his age.

I haven’t watched a lot of CSPAN lately, but am curious too if the situation’s as you describe.

Lamb used to be in the center of the screen, but today he and CSPAM have moved so far to the left that most TVs can’t pick up the picture anymore.

Nope, didn’t hear of it, but it sounds like Savage is over-reacting yet again. So, I take it Savage Nationers were praying for Lamb to leave the program?

Lamb has been gradually relieving himself of various duties at C-Span for some time now.

Could be health, age, boredom, or a combination.

Don't know and don't care much. Everybody gets tired and dies at some point.

He was born on October 9, 1941, which is 66 years old. I hope he's ok because I don't consider that old.

I don’t know. Savage seems to keep a lot of irons in the fire; that whole “Free Speech Award” thing with C-SPAN sent him over the edge, in my opinion.
