John Gibson is one of those people you can take or leave, I wonder if he'll be in hot water for those comments.

Found this off the same celebrity gossip blog that another Freeper had talked about in this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1958387/posts

Sick, sick stuff.

What a class act Gibson is.

Along the same lines are the people (some of them FReepers) claiming Ledger paid the price of starring in movies such as Brokeback Mountain.

*sigh*

We've been on this creep's show before and we will boycott his show in the future, unless he issues an apology

Wow. I'm sure Gibson's shaking in his Gucci's at the threat of being boycotted by "perezhilton.com".

I have to agree with the article - it sounds like what Gibson did was reprehensible. I didn’t agree with all the causes that Heath Ledger stood for but it is sick and disgusting for anyone to mock his tragic death.

When Jerry Falwell died, these same jackballs were dancing and skipping. But when an actor who ODs at the age of 28 croaks, we’re all supposed to be really really sorry.

Hypocrisy is the new vitamin A.

Insensitivity is generally not a hanging offense in this country. Gibson was wrong and thoughtless — and he might ought to apologize for any feelings he may have hurt. But, ultimately, this really isn’t that big a deal.

Howard Stern got into trouble when he mocked Selena’s death by playing one of her songs with gunshots in the background. I hope Gibson gets the doghouse.

Somewhere between- OMG what a horrible, awful, terrible national tragedy is the death of Heath Ledger....and John Gibson’s attitude...is a reasonable reaction.

Maybe Gibby was reacting to the crazy reaction of the media? Honest to goodness- the MSM cable reaction was simply over the top. A talented, apparently troubled young actor died. Why did the country come to a stop about it?

That was pretty tasteless. The sad part is it mirrored many comments here.

I’m trying to figure out why the guy was so loved anyhow. I can’t believe all the crying over a drug overdose. Obviously it wasn’t accidental.

Thousands of people die everyday. I’m sure there are others more worthy of being placed on a pedestal.

Gibson has sunk to the level of Keith Olbermann - or the people who cheered Falwell’s death - with those antics. I rarely watch him, but I thought he was above that sort of thing. Conservatives acting like liberals is disappointing.

The same people who are upset about JB are the same people who cheered when Falwell died. Hypocrites all.

John Gibson

I have never understood why a nut like him is on TV to start. Like I don't understand the hype over this man's death, he was a good actor. and poor old gibson doesn't understand the concept of stand-ins when making movies.

I’m not a huge Gibson fan, I find him to be a bit obnoxious, and maybe he went a little overboard. But Ledger’s death, while tragic in the sense that any premature death is tragic, is NOT NEWS, and shouldn’t even be on a news broadcast except as perhaps a one line blurb mentioned in passing.

FWIW, I haven’t paid attention to Gibson in years. There’s a certain creep factor to him. (This confirms it.)

I’m sorry but I find it hard to mourn when stupid people die from doing stupid things.
Now can we have some real news for a change about people with substance?

I think Perez Hilton is retarded and should be ignored, but Gibson needs to be suspended. This was totally out of line.
