A Vote Against McCain = A Hillary White House ZOT!

Posted on 01/20/2008 12:17:49 PM PST by kelly.s

As much as I prefer Rudy Giuliani for President, I just can't fathom voting against McCain and giving the White House to Hillary. Hopefully, most Republicans will see the lesser of two evils when casting their vote.

How 'bout a Giuliani/McCain ticket (or vice versa) for Pres. & VP? Think Independents would come on board?

I don't mean to sound like a desperate Republican, but sometimes you've just gotta call it like it is. :o)

I can’t see McCain or Huckabee either one getting the nomination

Check out Real Politic.com. Hes got a 10 pt lead overall. Hes leading in Fla, which is WTA. If he wins there hes got it, IMO. People who like Huckabee pick McCain over Romney 2-1 as a second choice.

Like I said, we dont even get Romney, we get Kennedy suck up McCaine. Tough nuts to us.

I don't vote for liberals and that is who YOU seem to prefer.

If the GOP wants my vote, I will vote for the best looking, there is no reason left for me to vote for them other than that.

Then vote third party or write-in. Voting for Romney still gives the GOP your vote and sends the wrong message.

“That is all of your posts.”

Negative, wagglebee. Your research is flawed.

Assuming of course, that Bloomberg and his money stay out of the Independent candidacy. He will stay out if McCain crashes.

Why do you think that?

Unless your are a retread troll (and seeing that your favorite candidate is Rooty, and you’re now pushing McLame, I would say that there is a good possibility you are a retread), this is all of your posts.

I was trying to get you to validate your position that anyone not sharing your views should be "Bug Zapped" from the forum.

I've been through several of these purges and the last one really sickened me. I wanted you to justify with Reagan's words why that purge was necessary, and I knew that you could not.

As you can see, I lit up when you mentioned the Bug zapper. It's a day, week, month, that I wish had not occurred, but it did.

In my view, it was a series of things like that purge against social moderates, that have combined to set the tone for this election.

I warned about it then, and way before then, as that was the end of the Reagan coalition.

Now we have this interesting but totally irrelevant election where we will get our collective clocks cleaned by the Dem machine, and I just wanted you to justify it with Reagan's words.

But I knew you could not, because he never said that the way to victory was to destroy the coalition. To plant yourself on the high perch and declare that only through my somewhat limited view is victory assured and if you don't agree,,,,, leave..

That's all I have to say.

If Bloomberg believes the inside DC baseball that McCain will get the nomination, and I believe he does, he will run as the independent candidate, siphoning all the moderate and economic conservatives that have been browbeaten over the past four years, and we will have a Ross Perot moment.

Even if he does not, the consensus candidate will have to appeal to these segments of the party. This is what the pundits actually mean when they say that the Reagan Coalition must be brought back together. This is also why I am posting on this thread.

I see absolutely no effort by the social conservatives on this particular forum to mend any fences before the general. This must occur.

I don't think it will. I think we will lose and lose big, and if I am right, you may as well pack your opinions up and duck because the ramification of a eight year Clinton presidency II will be dramatic and permanent. We still have not recovered from Bill Boy.

Hello Everybody. I’m a first time contributor in here, and a 5 yr. observer. I check in here frequently. I only want to say that what just happened on this thread, the intimidation, et al, directed toward someone who was immediately labeled a troll-——it was all very sad to observe. It leaves the impression that this forum is intolerant & not open to discussion, not in reality at least. Cold Heat, I find your posts refreshing and intelligent. You are needed here.

Well I’ve said enough. I’ll keep watching & reading, but quite honestly, it’s a wee bit scary to delve in here for fear I won’t go with the flow with some of you. Best of luck and favor with you all.
