I'd heard that Taylor is suing for breach of contract. They hadn't represented or promoted him as they did past winners. I hope its true and that he wins.I agree. I noticed during the sixth season, they either ignored Taylor or made snide remarks about him. Even Clive Davis appeared on the show praising Daughtry to the skies and dismissing Taylor and Katharine McPhee. All I can figure, either Taylor must've ticked them off somehow or else they just didn't want him to win because he wasn't as marketable. But they still should've represented and promoted him as they did other winners.

I think they liked his personality at first but never expected him to get far in the competition. They all seemed to be visibly unhappy as he advanced. Then when he pulled the real shocker off & actually won he probably didn’t make many friends by hiring an attorney to go over the contract & make changes. I think their ideal is someone who knows little about the business & will be easy to lead around. That wasn’t Taylor.

"I'm going to be a bigger star than ALL of you! Bigger than you Randy! Bigger than you Paula! Bigger than you Simon! Bigger than Mariah Carey!!!!! You will be asking me for my autograph!" You have to throw in the comments about how Paula is a has-been who hasn't done anything in music since the 90s, how Randy is still fat and how Simon is British and doesn't know about American music.

Hi Jonny! Thanks for the ping. I’ll be able to visit more often this year since I’m not teaching on Teusday nights this year. But, I’ll join in after the show is over - my computer is no where near the TV. See you tonight.
To: silent_jonny
Would you like to be added to the ping list? We'd be happy to have you.Hi Jonny, sure go ahead and add me to the weekly reminder ping list.
Can't wait to see the people who sing worse than I do. And I'm the first to admit that I'm horrible.
See ya tonight! :)

All I can figure, either Taylor must've ticked them off somehow or else they just didn't want him to win because he wasn't as marketable. But they still should've represented and promoted him as they did other winners. They should market all winners with the same zeal. Let the consumer decided what they want to buy or hear. I have noticed that certain radio stations play a broad range of music and Taylor's music would certain fit in there just as easily as some of the other artists that they play.

I think their ideal is someone who knows little about the business & will be easy to lead around. That wasnt Taylor. Definately, but they should have learned after Kelly Clarkson, that not winners are going to be docile.

Of course, that's not to say the show will eschew mentors and celeb guests entirely. After all, part of the singers' "Idol" experience includes those brushes with superstars like Stevie Wonder or Jennifer Lopez. Meant to comment on this earlier. I hope this doesn't mean we will be saddled with these two again.
