My husband was just flipping through his Hockey News and there is a very nice picture of the Anaheim Ducks meeting the President.

(Amanda) I bet she does something from Pat Benatar. I just hope it's good, whatever she does.

"Hallelujah" is his song choice. Dark and moody. I'm stuck at work. Did he sing the old Ray Charles tune "Hallelujah"?
"Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know,
Yeah, she's my baby and I love her so.
In the mornin' when the sun comes up...
She brings me coffee in my favorite cup.
I know, yeah I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so."
If he did, I can't wait to see the replay when I get home. Hard to imagine a dark and moody arrangement. But I'm with Simon. It's one of my all time favorite songs. Especially the cover that Humblepie did live at The Fillmore East back in 1971.

LOL! no but that’s the image that went through my twisted brain.

His rendition sounded like Michael Hutchins had done the song. Now that you've said so, after I see Johns' performance later tonight, I'm going to have to find a clip of Hutchins to compare their vocals.
Johns is 29. For whatever reason, he's been unable to break through. I wonder if he's one of those people who always seem capable of more than they deliver. We'll see.

Bet there is also a little bit of odor to those dreads.I guess they disguise it with the wax or whatever. I never want to be close enough to anyone with dreads to know what they smell like.

The dreads bother me, too. Maybe it’s because I like to change my hair frequently. I can’t imagine being that committed to a hairstyle that bugs wouldn’t bother you.

It’s this one:
I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty
in the moonlight
overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne,
she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe I’ve been here before
I know this room, I’ve walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
There was a time you’d let me know
What’s real and going on below
But now you never show it to me do you?
Remember when I moved in you?
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there’s a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It’s not a cry you can hear at night
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Halleluja

Gag. If this dude isn't the most phoney POS ever on the show, I don't know who is.Ain't the truth.
I keep saying he's manipulative--there's just no other word for it. He could possibly "Obama" his way to the finale.

I might just actually vote tonite. For Luke.Even though he sang a cheesy Wham song that set off gaydars nation wide, he deserves to stay more than a couple of others.

He actually was in a band before and then left in some sort of a falling out.
If he’s packaged well then I think he could be okay but the guys seem to be lacking a superstar. The prodigy is talented but too cute for his age. That schtick would work better if he was 13/14. I expect to hear him on Radio Disney next year when I take my kid to school.
