Just goes to show, song selection STILL MATTERS.Song selection AND how the singer performs the song. Some of the greatest pop singers ever didn't have particularly strong singing voices, but they knew how to engage and entertain an audience.

Hernandez is this year’s Antonella Barba. I see this as a self-correcting situation.

David Archuleta
Let's see, last week he sang "Imagine". He auditioned with the John Mayer hippy ballad "Waiting For the World to Change." Now he sings Phil Collins' ode to capitalist guilt "Another Day in Paradise".
Randy: Thought it was good. Interesting song choice. Didn't show off what you could do. Couple of pitch problems. It was nice.
Paula: (She's rambling tonight--hard to follow what she's saying. She liked it though. Noticed some flaws in the performance as well.)
Simon: Wasn't as good as last week. Getting a little bit gloomy here, David. Lighten up a little bit. You're probably going to make it to the final two. But we have to see a variation, otherwise it's going to get depressing.
Archuleta: (explaining why he chose that song) It brings attention to people around the world who have nothing.
And the audience dutifully applauds.
I'm gonna vomit.

Absolutely can't stand that fruitcake.Ugh! Neither can I. About the only positive thing I can say is he at least brings energy and joy to performances.

I read that they are keeping him. Maybe some e-mails are in order. Their agenda and hypocrisy are showing.
