it's a good day for San Diego, after a pretty tough year here.

Oh excuse me.
I won't be insulted if you don't join in, really. Sometimes it's a good thing to focus on something other than chirping at one another about politics. There are plenty of threads that do that already.
I apologize for irritating your sensibilities.

I just hope New England shows at least some compassion on what is left of them.

It's Eli we can't stand.
He dissed us big time 3 years ago. We don't forget.
The noise level at the stadium last year when he came to town, and was roundly stomped as the Chargers destroyed the Giants, was phenomenal.

Free Republic isnt really the place to talk smack about sports. 12-22-07 signup and you are lecturing about whether or not this is a place to talk smack about sports?????
YOu need to go visit General Chat and check out the College Football, NFL, MLB, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc threads.
Yours is about the dumbest statement I have ever seen on this site.

The Colts still win, they get their 500 million dollar stadium funded partially by the city. Also, taxpayers get to pay balance remaining on the RCA dome even after it is torn down.
Once again, short on finances but long on ideas to short-change Hoosiers. And we wonder why people take the first tickets available to leave Indiana.

it was.
The Chargers showed a lot of heart and the defense was really impressive. I do have to say, though, that Dungy and Peyton Manning are a class act.

You and me, both. We ave 3 ex-Chargers on the Pats .. Seau, Harrison (the cheap shot specialist) and Wes Welker. Great team, no question.
