Have heard several reports and one of them was a news conference with the sheriff - the employee at the bus station remembered selling her the ticket.
I watched Greta again at 1am (after phone stopped ringing and house quiet).... Greta was at Bus Station and said the ticket was purchased on the 14th for a scheduled run on the 15th. Which Maria never took.
I missed the part second time about what time CL got home, but Greta talked with Fermon about that and she repeated CL got home around 7’ish, what were Fermon’s thoughts. Fermon is leaning toward they were leaving together, Laurean coaxed her into garage etc.
OK,
based on her conversations with her mother and all the legal hoopla going on, him being so angry about it, her not wanting to be around him.... I don’t see her going anywhere with him, much less El Paso.
HOWEVER< sometimes there can be things hidden that no one knows about.
The body, going back to the 11th as quoted in this article:
“Megan Melton, who lives about 100 yards from the area, said dozens of vultures had descended on the area in the past few weeks.” source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080111/ap_on_re_us/missing_marine;_ylt=AuyohRON9ZaRi_Q.wOEddEWs0NUE
Once again, I notice the pool liner. In the aerial photo it looks as if looking down on it the right side is loose or ripped from frame. As Greta walked past it last night you could see if hanging loose from the side. Could he ? have put her behind/under it until he dug the pit?
Re. the bus ticket at the station, I think you’re right. She allegedly bought it on the 14th to be used on the 15th. The ticket was good for 6 months, but was never found. I don’t know if her purse or car keys were found either, though.
I’m not sure about the guy who says she sold the ticket. I remember seeing part of the video interview with him. He was loving his 15 minutes of fame, wearing a blue shirt, yellow plaid suit (or something crazy like that!). He indicated she was having no problem getting around, even though Maria’s roommate, Durham, indicated she was not that mobile when home. Also, he commented that she asked if she could leave her car in the bus lot when she took the bus, but then drove off. If it was Maria, she was wearing the Layton or Dayton big sweatshirt that shows up in the ATM at 4:20 pm.
BTW, I don’t buy Furmon’s theory. I don’t think Maria trusted him. If they were running away together, they would take a vehicle. She was very pregnant. A vehicle is WAY more comfortable, faster than a Greyhound, and leaves less clues. Besides, they didn’t buy a ticket for him.
If it was Maria that bought the ticket (which I’m doubting), then she planned to come back for her car. If it wasn’t Maria, it was intended to be a clue left behind that she went UA.
