What strikes you odd, here:
September 17
Lauterbach requests permission to move into off-base housing to care for her baby. Her request was approved on Oct. 31.
October 18
NCIS recommends that no disciplinary action be taken until evidence can taken from the child.
October 22
Witnesses questioned in rape investigation.
November 5
Lauterbach moves off-base into home with Sgt. Durham, who planned to leave North Carolina in December for training in California. Lauterbach planned to sublet the home in his absence.
The same day, a trial council re-interviews Lauterbach, at which time she adjusts her statement to say that her pregnancy was not the result of a sexual assault.

Spell it out for me, freema, what your line of thinking on the time line is.
In your previous post - “Called mom at 2:30, and the ATM video shows her at 4:20ish.” Maria said she was going to that Christmas party when she talked to her mom at 2:30 even though she expected Laurean to be there. Did she ever go?
Christina says she went to this party, but Cesear didn’t, which is odd in itself since it was “his” party. Could Maria and Christina/Cesear have crossed paths before, during, or after this party? Maria’s residence was quite close to the base. It seems a big coincidence that this is the night Maria supposedly was murdered. There’s more there, there....IMO.
My thinking.
1. Why did it take a month and a half to approve an off-base housing request September 17-October 31 (6-1/2 weeks), while in the meantime, NCIS is still allegedly conducting an investigation?
a. Why does NCIS recommend no discipinary action on Thursday, October 18, but not freaken interview ‘witnesses’ until Monday, October 22? Cart before horse?
2. Why does the trial council re-interview Lauterbach on Monday, November 5 (first Monday following the off-base request approval on Wednesday, October 31).
3. While I’m at it, why was nothing done for five months between the time Laurean denied the charges on May 18, and then out of the blue, five months later, NCIS recommends no disciplinary action on October 18 and BAM the Regimental Commander says WTF?
4. Trial counsel continues to look at evidence and prepare recommendations for further actions to the regimental commander, and NCIS continues to look for evidence to corroborate LCpl Lauterbachs allegations on November 5 WHILE LAUREAN IS ON LEAVE IN VEGAS.
5. She goes to the OB on November 26, and he still hasn’t been appointed a lawyer or charged with anything.
Prenatal DNA testing could have cleared this all up.
