But the article goes on to say this:
Capt. Rick Sutherland, with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, said Thursday that investigators believe Cesar Laurean killed Lauterbach on Dec. 14, despite the date in the warrant and his claims she committed suicide.
So which is it? According to this
CNN link, the last time that Maria was officially heard from was 2:30 pm on Dec. 14.
Lauterbach and her mother last spoke about 2:30 p.m. the day Lauterbach disappeared, Steiner said. At the time, she had experienced some contractions. "She was ready to have that baby."
Now, if Maria was having trouble getting around, had experienced some early contractions, where did she spend the night on Dec. 14?
One more question regarding ATM transactions. Do you know what the maximum amount is that can be withdrawn from an ATM? I assumed that when Cesear withdrew $400 on Dec. 24 from Maria’s account, that was the maximum. Would an ATM let her withdraw $700 on Dec. 14 in one transaction? Seems odd.
