Zoo Visitor Says Men Roared At Tiger

SAN FRANCISCO -- A woman who was visiting the San Francisco Zoo on the day a tiger mauled three young men last week says she saw two of them taunting the animal.

Meanwhile, the zoo reopened Thursday amid a swirl of questions over the events that led to the death of one of the men.

Jennifer Miller told the San Francisco Chronicle that she was at the zoo with her husband and children and watched the young men roaring at the lions shortly before the tiger attack.

I suspect the "blood trail" didn't come from the two brothers or the dead person.

This case will get mysteriouser and mysteriouser Fur Shur.

Are you still holding on to your "theory" that the tiger ate another person whole? And that the only thing left of that 4th victim is the lost shoe?

“The boys have at least kept their mouths shut.”

Yes, “The boys” have been silent from the time it happened. Because they knew in advance that the zoo was going to make ridiculous claims about the incident in the future. Perhaps Star magazine could hire them as their new “Psychic Siblings” Bull. It’s more likley that they’ve had the Miranda warning issued to them enough times to know it’s meaning.

The sad truth of the story is that S.F. is so mind-numbingly PC. and liberal that they’re torn between blaming an animal and facing Peta outrage, or charging minority criminals and facing (pick your own professional victim-hood org. outrage). They’re out on a limb.

The "Fourth Person" report on the part of Mrs. Miller (The Lion Witness) still needs to be pursued. However, I was responding to another idea that if the cops had anything they'd be out touting it ~ but they're not.

In fact, the cops are suspiciously silent. Could be that it's the weekend ~ or maybe they got the blood tests back ~ just like the cops in the Duke case got the DNA tests back for that hooker.

Just what do they do if they have evidence of a fourth person, or even a fifth?.

If they start bringing in all the zoo staff for intense interrogations this week, and there's still no report on the blood tests, we will have a much better idea of what other sort of theories we can pursue.

7. show print found on railing

If a big cat has you by the neck and is sling you around a foot print could be anywhere. Are a person bleeding to death might stumble anywhere. Shoe print means nothing.

As to Blood test, Would some attorney explain to me what right the cops would have to them are any medical information for that matter. There is no violation of law here and no probable cause.

And I hope you replied with a Golden Shower!

Fire fire with fire in the animal world.

Hmmm.

Maybe you are on to something. I wonder if the cops are allowed to see the blood alcohol tests.

I guess you should have 'marked' her first.

Paul, 19, who is too young under California law to drink, was intoxicated when Tatiana, the 4-year-old feline, leaped out of her enclosure and killed Carlos Sousa Jr., 17, the newspaper reported.

His blood alcohol content was .08, high enough that it would have been illegal for him to drive, the paper said. Also, Paul had been smoking marijuana, and police spotted a vodka bottle in the car the pair drove to the zoo.

Kulbir, 23, was also smoking pot and drinking at the time, the paper said.

Alcohol and pot. So why can't the cops arrest them? Drunk/disorderly, underage drinking, giving alcohol to minor, drug charges...

animals should not be able to jump walls and attack and kill people, taunting or not.....and just how many people have imitated lions, tigers, and bears and monkeys over the years?.....Tons.....

I suspect there was bad behaviour, but short of throwing things in at the tiger, or putting down branches so he could get out, "taunting" an animal is not a federal crime.....

let's not go overboard with these young men.....we have no proof of anything that they did or did not do....

Something is missing from the whole story...."A typical day"

No one has said Tatiana had a typical day!

From the LA Times Jan 6 2008: About Mollenedo's inheritance when he took over -"The animals' safety was also an issue with COYOTES stealing in and killing several flamingos." Coyotes? Yikes? That's like pizza to a tiger!!

P.S. Tatiani hear roars all the time...and screaming monkies and more....It's a zoo!!

I don’t see what it matters what might have been done to the tiger. The zoos job was and is to keep the critter from getting out even when agitated.

Its not the job of the zoo to provide an environment where upset tigers can roam free and then focus on education visitors on proper tiger meeting etiquette.

Might have something to do with the fact that it was a new york paper that turned up the sling shots that did not exist.

I have said that all along.

Who would go to the zoo if you knew the enclosures were only strong enough to keep non-agitated animals inside?
