Zoo Visitor Says Men Roared At Tiger

SAN FRANCISCO -- A woman who was visiting the San Francisco Zoo on the day a tiger mauled three young men last week says she saw two of them taunting the animal.

Meanwhile, the zoo reopened Thursday amid a swirl of questions over the events that led to the death of one of the men.

Jennifer Miller told the San Francisco Chronicle that she was at the zoo with her husband and children and watched the young men roaring at the lions shortly before the tiger attack.

Police said they haven't been able to corroborate reports of taunting.

From the link to the story! There is nothing left to investigate.

“She should have been put down a year ago”

This again? Listen, you’ve already admitted that you’re anti zoo, well I don’t like to see critters caged up either. But the fact remains that zoo’s do exist, and there are going to be dangerous species on exhibit. Next you’re going to tell me that this tiger mauled a zookeeper in the past and should have been put down for it. I disagree-the keeper should have stayed out of the tigers reach. The tiger was a marvelous living creature who had to die because of the stupidity of a pack of thugs and it makes me angry. The police did what they had to do, but it still sucks. Ok?

And that’s because the two surviving Dilly Brothers are NOT talking! It’s still under investigation. The police can’t “corroborate” the reports because there was only Miller and her husband. No other people were in the vicinity....so far. So it’s the Miller’s word against the silent brothers.

"There is nothing left to investigate"

1. the car in police custody
2. the cell phones in police custody
3. toxicology tests which will be released
4. autopsy of tiger
5. autopsy of Carlos
6. depositions which will be given by Dilly Brothers
7. show print found on railing
8. blood found
9. rock, pine cones and other debris
10. possible 4th person seen with them.

Yup, nothing left to investigate. < sarc >

“Police said they haven’t been able to corroborate reports of taunting.”

The S.F. police department and their “chief” does not instill confidence in me . Still, if you believe everything a pair of hip hop criminals and an inept police dept. tells you, or refuses to tell you in the case of Armpit and K-bar, be my guest.

I have no doubt that I’ve taken more game animals than you have. I am not an animal rights advocate in the extreme sense that peta, etc, are. I just hate to see a great beast lose it’s life because of the actions of a pack of dime-a-dozen, worthless he-men who got what they were asking for. Kinda like you when you decided to bring your room temperature I.Q. into an argument with me. Simple enough for you?

Need a hat, too!!

I have a 100+ year old seal coat that I bought at a garage sale for $4. It needed a new lining but it is awesome....softer than velvet!! The pelts are marked Cape Town.

1, 2, 3,& 5 All require probably cause!

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

#4 already done, nothing found

#6 Will be in a civil proceeding, and the 4th amend still applies.

7 & 8 mean nothing, as well as 9, and item 10, cops have said the is no evidence of a fourth person.

If they had anything....the kids would have been arrested by now. Do they need an attorney? Yes...Victims need attorneys, too.

It's a wild beast...beautiful, yes...but Tatiana wouldn't even exist except for a breeding program. And she never knew who she was....confined by task masters...to make as much money off her as they can.

“the kids”?
Your entire post sounds like something a pro-euthinasia, anti capitalist liberal would come up with. And then you top it off with an excuse for hiring the slimiest criminal DEFENSE lawyer imaginable. I hope you never get the chance to work in a retirement home. Those poor seniors who are confined to their beds, not knowing who they are, while the business made money off of them would probably get a little midnight injection, huh?

3. toxicology tests which will be released

That one makes me curious.

Blood tests do not take days. The cops know if the brothers were drunk or not.

One of the brothers is underage, as was 17 year old Sousa. If they were publicly drunk they could be, and should be, arrested. And the older brother should be prosecuted for providing alcohol to a minor.

7. show print found on railing

If there actually was a shoe print on the railing, they know now if it belongs to one of the boys. And I have to believe the cops would have made a big deal about it if it matched.

I may be wrong, but my guess is that there is no shoe print or if there is one it does not match one of the brothers.

The boys have at least kept their mouths shut.

Too bad zoo officials haven’t done the same thing. All they have done is put out one unfounded speculation (or lie) after another.

Imagine if a semi-truck jumped the curb and ran over a few people on the sidewalk and the president of the trucking company immediately starts blaming the victims...

“They probably distracted the driver... maybe they had lasers... I heard they had slingshots... The driver had to be distracted to make such a mistake...”

The city just hired a slimy Democrat spin meister by the name of Sam Singer. He ran the PR campaigns for lots of democrats and labor unions.

If you are going to fight someone who going to play dirty, maybe the boys were correct in hiring a dirty lawyer.

The experts sure screwed up didn't they. Tell you what, let's take 10,000 PETA devotees and put them in a big field, then run a couple of hundred captive tigers in there to practice up on their technique.

Should be fun.

Dog bites me that's the end of the dog. Owner objects, my right to self-defense exceeds his right to sic his dead dog on me.

The "free first bite" standard has been abolished for many years.
