My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

“How did you like St. Thomas?? Had you been there before?”
Yes, love it. St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands is beautiful. It is the shopping point for the entire Caribbean!
It is a protectorate of the U.S., and English is the language, and thought they drive on the left, almost all the cars have left hand drive. The people are friendly and easy going, and if a company were to set up there, they’d get more tax breaks and welcome then they could believe. They also would be the MAJOR employer. The island economy is at present, based on tourists, and an industrial effort could really be a power player there. International shipping comes right by the island every day, and production supply and product shipping worldwide are possible. The island has to buy its petroleum products from Porte Rico who gets it from Venezuela. They have to pay $4.00 a gallon, really crimps the life there, sad since there is an island in the Virgin Islands that sits on a huge amount of oil they can’t tap!

Poem #2
As The Sun Falls
Verdant is the deep green of the island
Right on down to the blue sounding sea
Falling down the mountains, as it truly be
As lush as from hilltop to surf and sand
Music with a lively beat, floats in the breeze
And women walk with a rhythm to their hips
As softly rolling, as some ancient sailing ship
And men watch and smile, a wink, a squeeze
Night falls but life goes on, in a softer sweet fury
As everyones moods and manners change to the beat
And dancers become the music down to their feet
And life slows to something deep without the hurry
Out on the waters ships swing at anchor in the bays
And each is lighted with lanterns like a sea born star
We walk the beach and holding hands, head for the bar
taste the nightlife, as alive to us as we to all it says

Good morning everyone.
The First Snow-Fall
By James Russell Lowell, Brahmin Poet
The snow had begun in the gloaming,
And busily all the night
Had been heaping field and highway
With a silence deep and white.
Every pine and fir and hemlock
Wore ermine too dear for an earl,
And the poorest twig on the elm-tree
Was ridged inch deep with pearl.
From sheds new-roofed with Carrara
Came Chanticleer's muffled crow,
The stiff rails softened to swan's-down,
And still fluttered down the snow.
I stood and watched by the window
The noiseless work of the sky,
And the sudden flurries of snowbirds,
Like brown leaves whirling by.
I thought of a mound in sweet Auburn
Where a little headstone stood;
How the flakes were folding it gently,
As did robins the babes in the wood.
Up spoke our own little Mabel,
Saying, "Father, who makes it snow?"
And I told of the good All-Father
Who cares for us here below.
Again I looked at the snow-fall,
And thought of the leaden sky
That arched o'er our first great sorrow,
When that mound was heaped so high.
I remembered the gradual patience
That fell from that cloud like snow,
Flake by flake, healing and hiding
The scar that renewed our woe.
And again to the child I whispered,
"The snow that husheth all,
Darling, the merciful Father
Alone can make it fall!"
Then, with eyes that saw not, I kissed her:
And she, kissing back, could not know
That my kiss was given to her sister,
Folded close under deepening snow.

Beautiful poem, and thought provoking!
I’m at the coffee shop, and kicking back and working on the next book already, (got the idea on the ship and sort of framed it in already.)
How are you this beautiful morning?
Where’s Trude and the Breakfast?
