Some people working for animal rights are wackos (especially PETA), but not everyone who cares about animals is a wacko.
Rumors like this one do lots more harm than good. Groups like PETA lose even more credibility—and down the road, if someone DOES abuse zoo animals, no one will take the case seriously. I’m convinced these young men were up to no good, and maybe some day we’ll learn exactly what they were up to.

One reason people are looking for an explanation is that this 12.5 foot barrier is something an 8-10 long tiger could jump anytime they wanted. So its natural to wonder what was different that day.
