When we can, we’re gonna get propane gas logs for the fireplace.

We've been pondering a heating solution for the media and craft rooms in the basement. We'd used some strip electric heaters, but SirKit was always nervous because the kids would have blankets, jackets, etc. down there, and we didn't want one landing on the heater and causing a fire.

We decided to get a natural gas fireplace, that is rated to heat all the square footage, and we also bought a distribution kit that will move the heater air, through ductwork, to the adjoining room. That way you don't have to have it wilting hot in one room in order for it to travel to the next one.

We don’t have natural gas in our neighborhood...well not the heating kind anyway. Thus the consideration of propane.
