That litttle .22 looks like a very nice piece - and should remain in the family...

A little off topic.....
But I live in Kalifornicate, where it is nearly impossible to secure a concealed carry permit -- unless you are a leftist politician.

Some folks carry, nonetheless.
You know - the "rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6" rational.

"Some folks" believe it ain't a real piece unless the caliber starts with a 4.
Myself among them..

To date - the piece "I bought for my wife" (and later appropriated for myself) is one of the nicest I've come across -- and it slips comfortable into a jeans pocket or light jacket pocket without being too unseemly....

The Kimber CDP Ultra II .45 cal - with melted edges, night sights, 3" barrel, aluminum frame and all the features those who carried the 1911 are familiar with.. Except this little honey behaves MUCH better in a MUCH smaller and lighter package..and unbelievable accurate for a 3" barrel right out of the box! I have no idea of how Kimber does that.

Hey... nice choice. I'm a big Kimber fan. I got a full size regular Kimber custom 1911 several years ago, and have really enjoyed it.

On the last thread I posted some pics of my new Kimber purchase just last month. It started out as an Ultra Carry, and got some attention from the custom shop:

The Ultra Refined Carry Pistol (RCP II). I'm still pretty tickled with it. It's just "neato" if I do say so myself. No sights. Bobbed hammer and beavertail. Melt treatment... no grabby bits to snag coming out of a pocket.

I also got one of these from Cabelas, and I would recommend it for that Ultra Carry as a good thing:

The Desantis pockect holster. Works great in a coat pocket or pants pocket. Protects the pistol and holds it in place, but sticks in the pocket and its easy to draw out the pistol leaving the holster behind. Also keeps the pistol shape from printing through the jacket.

I don't know how Kimber does it either... how they can make their guns just so darn accurate even when, like above, they've got no right to be.

But it shoots like the dickens. :-)
