I just went to a really nifty little place downtown...called "The Tea Lady". They have I would say *hundreds* of different types of teas, for starters - shelves and shelves of them all around the entire outside wall of the store: black, green, white, red, oolong, various herbals...overwhelming. Both tea bags and loose leaf, loose leaf being what I was after.

Also they had all sorts of tea pots, tea cups, and various tea biscuits. Like Tim Tams...mmm, Tim Tams... Also all kinds of British candy, like Crunchie bars and Smarties. Way cool! And the folks there were really friendly and nice. I got two bags of tea (one green, one black), and will most definitely go back! They also have a tea room, with tables and all, and serve pastries and tea and that. I didn't stay for tea, but will sometime!

Sounds lovely! Do you have a large tea infuser for a full pot, or just a small one for single cups? SirKit wants to start drinking Green Tea during the day rather than coffee, so I was going to look for a large infuser that would hold enough for 6 cups or so, of tea.

Sounds like a nifty place! I love places like that! There were places in Austin like that. Steve bought me a card once from a coffee house with oh, maybe twenty large coffees on it that could be punched out each time you went in and got a cup. I had half the card left when we found out we were moving away. I gave it to a very young single mom that was a receptionist in the dr office where I worked. (She had been with me once for a cup and it was a kind of sophisticated occasion she wasn’t accustomed to and enjoyed it greatly.) She got very emotional when I gave it to her...I still remember how good it made me feel!
