It’s an idea...probably worth looking into.

The trouble is that housing costs are really high here. A decent small house costs at *least* $125k, and most of the ones in that price range are manufactured style, which I’m not sure I trust. Most regular houses are closer to $200k. Or more. Even if I got financing for a house, I’d have trouble making payments. :-\ At this point, I really shouldn’t be getting into anything that involves payments over about $700 or $750, which is very limiting, even where just renting is involved.

But maybe. I dunno.

Take a look, and remember that manufactured has gotten way better later! Our house was about 100k and our mortgage is very very reasonable. Like Talon said, not much more than apartment rent. $750 might just be enough... at least look at your options.

Manufactured homes are pretty solid. I would not mistrust them too much. At least as well made as most apartments and they er.... well lets just say the compare favorably stacked against the construction of your current place.
My house they originally were asking for 110 and I offered less. Got it for 101.
