You know we were young(ish) urban professionals in DC when Jr. was coming along. Mrs. at that point had the better and more secure job. We started looking for a place to live that was a bit larger and had a washer/dryer in the apartment. We did the math and were only going to come out about $200 per month “ahead” by doing that.

Then Mrs. read in a parenting magazine that “you want to take your kids to daycare by about three months, otherwise they’ll start to bond with you.” Excuse me?

That’s when we made the decision that she would stay home. And, with the exception of 8 months working for the Governor, she hasn’t had a full time job since.
