The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I’ve got lots of friends in Lexington. Probably some of them were there yesterday.

What a sad story.

I just hear that the other horse who was injured badly yesterday at the same event was also put down, and four others were pulled or failed final judging.

Brutal course. Too brutal. Some of the jumps at that level are just too intentionally dangerous.

Yeah, I saw that and consider that. But I didn't really think that until I went back and got the screen caps. Even then I wasn't sure there wasn't some electrical charge or something else associated with it.

Rosie, hurry up and watch the darn show...

I can’t find the darn receipts for our new phones, which means I can’t switch out my Crackberry for a different model (since I didn’t win the work sharing idea). And it means I can’t get our rebates which total about $250.

grrrr....

...Looked like a regular Asp to us. He just beaned the guy with it. Theoretically you can kill people and break bones with them.

Yeah, that made more sense when I saw the screen caps. Even with my contacts my eyes are so bad I miss a lot of detail.

Here's a high-res screencap of it. Definitely a standard ASP.

Well, yeah, I figured what *type* of weapon it was... I thought the question was, who made it?

Of course, I just asked Rose, and she says she wasn't asking about the Asp at all, she wanted to know about the gun that Ben pulled out of the piano bench.

Wow, that is clear; we wish our tv was that clear. Here’s hoping the digital converter box will help the rabbit ears out (well, when we get one).

I think that was a Remington 870 pump action shotgun with a pistol grip stock and bobbed barrel. I think Ramius had or has one of the those. Mine has a conventional buttstock.
