Could be a brisk morning out at the speedway today.
Thegirl wants to be a nurse, and so I figured Latin might come in handy. They also want to learn Spanish.

We’re back, yellow-face warming things up nicely. 4th Street repaving/rebuilding is at the point we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Should only be a couple more months now. Wonder what they are going to tear up and redo next?
Ate dinner at a new eatery in town. Great food, good service, reasonable prices but hardly anyone there; hope they can survive till the streets are open again.
I think it’s trucks today and indy cars tomorrow. Danika (sp?) is there for the race tomorrow.
The company gave away some tickets at werk yesterday. Needless to say I didn’t win ‘em.
Heh. I’ve got no time for trucks or indy cars this weekend. Good ol’ boys are racin’ at Talladega this weekend!
Wonder if it’s dry enough for some transplanting. Weather Underground says it’ll probably rain tonight.

Just had a little bit of excitement here. Apparently one of the critters (Tam is by far at the top of the probable list...) got the door to the outdoors open while I was in the shower. When I came out, Cisco was still inside (apparently waiting for permission to go out), Tam was sitting in the living room looking guilty, and Halvah was nowhere to be found. I closed the door and started looking indoors first, but then she showed up at the door crying. When I let her in, Tam immediately ran at her, hissing, and smacked her good. I dunno if that’s because to him she now smells like all outdoors or because he wanted to place blame entirely on her...”Bad Halvah! Why did you open that door and run away?”
I guess we’re OK now, except that Tam has barfed a couple of times. Nerves, maybe...or he got out long enough to scarf some grass. Lovely.
Heh...But he does have a job and that now, right?
I dunno...on my 19th, I was in Germany. ;-)
