Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Well, we think it’s a tad too wet to be efficient. Yellow-face has yet to show up. That’s why we were going to get the mulch ready to go. Maybe some removals, but don’t know about the planting part of the equation.
My astilbe survived! I usually kill them off right regularly. I’m also seeing some action on the hosta front.
Yeah, just watched it, and that’s what I’m thinking, too.
That horse doesn’t look too happy.
Ookay....this does not appear to be slowing, does it? Impressive.
We were kind of pooh-poohing the snow reports at work...figured they’d get snow in higher elevations, and we might get a few flakes that didn’t stick. Guess not...
The others are witing to go out to pasture, I tried to tell them there was no grass out there either.
Yeah, I didn't really believe we were going to get snow of significance either.
My boss was surprised when I mentioned the snow forecast yesterday. I guess he doesn’t watch the news as much as we do.
And again... I gots bupkis. Nothing happening here in bvue at all. No weather of any kind. It’s not cloudy and not sunny and not snowing and not raining.
From the traffic cameras it looks like it is snowing pretty good in Thurston and Snohomish, but skipping Pierce and King counties in the middle. There’s a pretty sharp line at Nisqually.
Ya know...the National Weather Service should study you. You appear to have significant snow-repelling properties.
Picking up again here. But it’s warmer. Looks kind of soggy now.
That’s amazing! It’s 75 degrees here, right now!
That’s what it is here too. Much better than our 50s last week.
We’ve had crocus for a week, the hyacinth are blooming and smell SO nice, and the daffodils popped out this week!
Sounds like an opportunity for an entrepreneur.
Thanks, and welcome to the Hobbit Hole. Stop by tonight (or early Sunday morning) for our pretty-much-regularly-scheduled Saturday Night Gun Pron. Guest columnists are always welcome, especially when I run out of ideas.
we’ll be plantin’ thegarden this afternoon... field daying the workshop...
had a feller come by and look at theoldtractor... he said he’d think about it...
turkey season starts Monday...
It’s melting pretty fast now... who knows what’s in store for the rest of the weekend. :~)
I’ve got some stuff planted. Right now I’m potting up
‘mater plants.
