The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

You hate change? You must be a typical white person.

Pretty much. I don't care much for the "update" but I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it. Good thing I don't post around much. Just the American Idol thread and here.

Oh wow, Beth, I’m so sorry. Prayers for the comfort and strength of you and your family during this time. Hugs, too.

Excellent - but how do you integrate the GPK on it?

Shuttle tranny... mmmmmmmm... loader...

LOLz - you said "tranny".

It’s too busy. And I wish the information line looked like the info line in the actual threads. As it is, it looks cluttered to me and I can’t quickly find the poster and post number and all. :-\

Ungh...hectic day. I’m supposed to do workout 2 of that program today, but we shall see. I’m feeling decidedly unmotivated.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that, Frog! Even if it was the right time - as right as it can ever be, anyway - losing someone is never easy.

Prayers for you as you deal with your loss, and everything that has to follow.

The stupidity of the TA knows no bounds.

Never underestimate the stupidity of government. That was my tagline in here back in 05.

Too much serif font. It needs some white space and some Arial. Space things out a bit.

For a minute I thought you said “some Advil.” After the Petraeus hearings and the quart of iced tea I drank earlier, I think I’m going to need some.

I’d be innerested in a set of those...

normally carry a revolver (.357 or .44 mag) around theRidge, but I’d prefer a long gun if’n I can mount real slick and convenient like...

A Gunner Protection Kit. As seen on an HMVVW. It'd love to see one on a tractor - that'd be a hoot.

Thanks for the prayers and kind words. They mean a lot to me. Although it was hard, it would’ve been selfish of me to have tried to keep her here any longer. It was her wish and my promise to her, and I kept it to the end, no matter what others may have thought of it.

*snort*

Well, I completed the second workout, in spite of the intermittent rain, in spite of not feeling great, and in spite of starting out sore this time around. Yay me! I didn’t exactly *love* it, but I finished at least.

I did learn that the restroom by the trail is really better for if you *have* to go, rather than somewhere to change, unlike the one where I usually would stop on the bike. I’d start there, but it’s twenty miles out...

At least the rain meant that there weren’t tooo many folks out to see me running like a lump.
