Evening Ramius - well done; ready to ‘repel boarders’ or leading the landing party, it would be a right handy weapon to have.
My buddy served on a PBR on the Mekong. His favorite movie is "The Sand Pebbles". But he says his preferred method of "repel boarders" is steam hoses backed up with a BAR. I guess the romance of the high seas diminishes in brown water.

Roger that. But then again there are few questions for which a BAR isn’t the right answer.
But I gotta say after playing with that thing for a while that when the call came to “make preparations to repel boarders” it might have been nice to have such a thing on my belt. Though admittedly that’s been a lesser risk on CG cutters of late.
What I do miss is the dress uniform for enlisted sailors, with the dress cutlass. Even if it was Chiefs and up... Its a classic and nostalgic touch on the dress uniform. It should be part of the uniform regs.
