Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
If it is, would it make you do it? :~D
I dunno! ;-) I’m not much of a rebel...
The only things I wonder about (besides the year thing) are the lack of ABS and extra airbags and things. Granted...I’ve not had ‘em before, so they’re probably silly things to get hung up on. They do knock off a bit on insurance, though.
Even so...the insurance looks like it’d be a bit lower than it would be with the smaller cars.
What year thing? That it’s an 07? I wouldn’t worry a lot about that... it’s been on the lot the whole time right? It’s not used? They just bought too many.
Yeah, that it’s an ‘07. It’s been on the lot for about a year. But maybe you’re right...
They also said there was a major redesign this year, so some people are waiting for the ‘09s. They had an example in to look at. Personally I like the older ones better. They look more distinctive.
Did I mention this is basically a Toyota Matrix (which is basically a tall Corolla station wagon) with a Pontiac label? And I believe I’ve occasionally mentioned how much I liked my Corolla... The warranty on the Pontiac is actually a lot longer than the one on the Toyota twin, too.
Do it :~)
Enabler. ;-)
I also wonder if that’s really a good deal, or if they’re still tryin’ to pull one over on me.
I guess at some point, you have to stop worrying about every nickel and dime and just enjoy the new car, but...
LOL - I took the day off, too.
Sounds like a winner! A friend at the OldJob had one - a very practical car! And cute.
Can I get an AMEN? :~)
You could spend all your life wondering if maybe there is a better deal out there. You know what, there probably is. Somebody somewhere will give you more money for your van, and somebody somewhere is selling this car cheaper. But how much is your time worth? You know where this car is. You don't know where the other one is. But I hate dickering, I hate looking and shopping and browsing around, so there's my two cents. :~)
Certainty of death! Small chance of success! What are ya waiting for?!
Yeah...you’re right...I’m spending a lot in time and mental anguish.
I’m supposed to stop by after work. I’m sure they’ll sell me a car if I let ‘em....so we’ll see. I haven’t had any time to say goodbye to the van. :-\
If I go through with this, I might could drive home with it by six thirty or so (and then may drive it to church, where I’ll actually be able to *park* without serious scariness. They have postage stamp parking spaces, fer some reason.)
Gee...now I feel much better...
muh werk here is done...
Well, we’ll see what you drive in with when you get here :~)
I saw a Vibe in the parking lot of the library the other day. It’s was really cute, and it is a little larger than the Honda Fit.
He was a young man, as far as I'm concerned! We absolutely loved Cold Mountain, and I discovered from reading his obit that he had also directed Truly Madly Deeply, one of my favorite of Alan Rickman's movies.
Got Vibe(s)?
Got spam?
