The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

First thing in the morning...it’s a pill, so in the comfort of our home...oh boy! I can’t wait till next Tuesday, so he can be done.

Look at you all worried about him, with all you have going on. I pray they figure it all out for you soon.

Look at you all worried about him, with all you have going on.

I'm worried about both of you and my life is a trainwreck.

Or so I've heard.

Actually the 17th was the last day on the old job.

And yesterday was tax day.

Today was the first day on the new job...in the parts room of the maintenance facility of the city bus service.

It went well.

Re the John Adams miniseries - it’s excellent. I love the portrayal Abigail.

I had to go up there this morning for a new coffeepot filter, and as I walked in I thought, drat, if’n I knew what power cord you needed I could pick one up. Isn’t that store just a trip!

Along that same vein, do you have an upright or a cannister vacumn cleaner? I have a bunch of different size upright bags from my now defunct vacumns I could give you if you can use them, otherwise, they’ll just get donated.

I’ve got one of each but the cannister is the only one working at the moment...the upright is losing vacuum somewhere along the line.

I normally just blow the motor out, they never lasted long enough to lose vacumn power. I have the following bags, Eureka Upright Style F & G; Eureka Upright Style J; Sharp and vacumns using Type PU-2. I really like my Simplicity cannister vacumn cleaner, btw.

I’m in luck! My upright takes a J!

Now all I have to do is find the leak.

Well ...

The place is a tad disorganized ... which I should have realized, since it took them four weeks to hire me. I just got my computer today, and my email isn't working. My phone dials out, but has no volume.

Yes, it's the place I FReepmailed you about. Train track analysis, and very cool, overall. It's a weird little business.

the ompany is in Georgetown, a small suburb some 20miles north of Austin, though it's hard to tell where Austin ends and Round Rock begins, or where Round Rock ends and Georgetown begins.

We drove around town today ... nice, quirky older houses for sale. Gave me ideas ...
