The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Um...have you seen my place lately?
To: Corin Stormhands

Thank you all so much for your kind wishes and cute graphics! Very nice of you!
For my birthday, besides the very expensive sewer system, Steve got me a hardback book written during WWII...called "Raising Rabbits for Meat and Fur". It's so neat...talks about the "war effort" and mentions that growing backyard rabbits for meat means that other sources of meat are freed up for our troops. Also, a bonus is that rabbit meat isn't rationed!
It's such a neat book. Talks about the "Food for Freedom" program, where 4-H youth stepped up to help with the war effort when food was scarce.
Got me to thinkin'...

Growing backyard rabbits.....you need a book for that?
To: Overtaxed
Heh heh!!
Remember that stew I made? Gosh, that was a long time ago.
Matthew remembers it though and remembers that I fried some of the rabbit and he liked it.

Step 1. Plant an asparagus bed
Step 2. Put a fence around the asparagus bed leaving one opening large enough for a bunny to slip through.
Step 3. Wait for bunny to show up.
