We like your store, especially the ‘None of the Above’.
I seem to recall seeing one in a ‘Hello, Kitty’ format.
AR15 is our next purchase... we’ve discussed doing a Hello Kitty mod :)
Thanks. I’ve been playing around with stuff over there for a couple of years and finally decided it was time to group it all together.
I’m not watching the Academy Awards. But I’m cheering for Cate Blanchett just because she was in the only nominated movie I saw. And I just watched that last night...
That would be funnier if I wasn't turning 50 in July...
SirKit’s never had one, but he’s going to talk to the Doc about doing it soon. I had one years ago, but I know I’ll need another soon. I’ll get through my Mammo first, then do the other one.
I’ve had a couple of endoscopys (the other end) and slept through both.
I just honestly didn't mean to do anything wrong, and I feel like a total schmuck. By the way, for those who might have wondered, this was current run TV stuff that's shown on broadcast TV - not DVD rips or anything. Same as we used to get LOST a few years back - remember we were always a day behind?
I actually had a discussion at work a few weeks ago because there was talk about how Comcast is cracking down on those who download movies (which I don't do and wouldn't do - morally, it bugs me, though I know there are rationalizations, and I don't need to go off on that...) I mentioned currently running TV as a grey area that they don't bother with, and my boss said, "Oh, that isn't even a grey area. It's legal. It's not like anyone's making a profit, and it isn't redistributing a purchased product." So I hadn't even thought much about it. Obviously, I'm an idiot. I don't think anything else will happen, because as Ramius said, the numbers are just too big. And I was never a heavy user either. Those are the only files I've tried downloading in a long time. Obviously, I won't try again. I erased the program and the files.
For the record, I'm getting my own cable in a few weeks, but I still feel sick about the whole thing. So I kind of avoided the computer most of the weekend. As a bonus, I got most of the over-winter leaves raked out of the back yard, cleared around the crocuses that I have coming up, tidied the entire house, sold one of my extraneous typewriters (at a good profit, I might add), spent some time at church in addition to just the Mass, and did a lot of reading.
So there's that.
Oh, and practiced guitar for about four hours between yesterday and today. My fingers are sore, but I’m slightly less rusty.
I’m signed up for camp.
Don’t worry about it... I don’t think there’s anyone here for whom this is a big moral issue. :~) My only issue with it was that my name was on it so I was surprised and a little worried till everyone told me not to be. We download our own share of stuff we want to watch... But I think there are more untraceable places to get stuff. If you want, ecurbh can probably help you with where he goes.
iTunes downloads are $1.99 a show, and you don't haev to have an iPod to indulge. It works great, iPod or no ... it's how I keep up with Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares
Or, the Big Four networks all save their prime-time lineup and their news reports for replay all week.
Those sharing apps may be a little out of date nowadays, at least for TV programs ...
This is all pretty much moot once I have cable - assuming it’ll work with my current TV. I’m assuming it will...but I may be naive. I’ve actually never had cable before...
Does it have a coax cable in the back?
Are you getting DVR like we have? They’ll give you the box like ours that you actually control the TV with.
I just picked whatever the basic internet/TV package was, since it wasn’t much more than the pure internet one. I don’t think it had a DVR.
The TV has a coax cable plug-in...but I keep hearing all this stuff about what will and won’t work with digital cable unless you have some intermediary. So I dunno.
Honestly, their site is really confusing...it’s hard to get to just plain lists of information. And when I first selected just internet, the only option they would give me was a 19.99 special for current TV customers. No pure internet.
Digital you’ll need the digital box... at least to run the menus and search functions.
You should go DVR like ours... it’s really nice to be able to record and rewind and stuff!
ecurbh tells me the comcast site stinks too. I’ll take both of your word for it.
If I were ordering, I’d probably call, the old fashioned way :~)
I wonder if I can still add that without a major hassle...it’s true, it’d be nice. Especially the recording deal. And rewinding.
You probably can change up until the time he leaves... but I’d call and schedule so he brings the right stuff. I use their TV box and their modem.
