Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
All in favor...
Aye.
Aye
The Ayes have it...
Cool. Happy Saturday everybody!
I’m goin’ back ta bed.
[sigh]
OK. Maybe not.
Man... the skools are all closing left and right around here. Wimps.
Any word on what the roads down here are like?
Supposedly it’s still below freezing. :-\
publik skools cancel the evenin' before because it might snow next mornin"?... NoVA was famous fer that...
The roads may be icy... it rained before it snowed.
Tumwater schools are closed. So they didn’t like what they found this morning... or they wanted the day off ;~)
Great...
*sigh*
Just drive slow... and enjoy the scenery :~)
Looks like it’s right at 32-34 most places. Temps are falling slowly.
That’s actually a dangerous condition. It won’t be icy everywhere, and it’ll fool people into driving too fast... and then get surprised by an icy spot.
In a little while the sand trucks will have had a chance to hit all the major arterials... should improve then.
Pippin seems to have adopted *your* attitude about it...
Barkley apparently needs more coffee.. ;~)
I’d just rather not *join* the scenery, ya know?
Hopefully at least the interstate is kind of clear. But there’s a bridge after I get off that gets pretty dicey.
I’d check the DOT site to see if there are accidents along I-5, but it appears to be swamped. Not working very well.
That...THAT...is vey cool! I love stuff like that!
I’m with Jen...you should just resign yourself to being a collector. It’s an admirable thing to collect, in my eyes. I wouldn’t be quite so impressed if you had row after row of beanie babies.
Not that there’s a thing wrong with beanie baby collecting...it’s just not that interesting to me.
You’ve got me so interested in fountain pens that I’d love to get one some day!
Hey, I’m all for snow provided I either get to stay home or have less-than-icy roads. ;-) Either that or snowy roads with *no other drivers* around.
But I hate it when I don’t get my way...
Cisco’s out exploring as we speak.
And so it begins...
I don't know what to hope for. On the one hand, I hope that it's being caused by something other than the stress of the new job. So I can either make lifestyle changes (like lower my sodium or something...I don't know) or be treated for it (like thyroid or something...again, I don't know.) I don't want to loose my job. It's steady income.
On the other hand, if it's the job causing it...it means there's nothing otherwise wrong with me and the cure is easy.
Either way, as soon as I finish this cup of coffee...I'm calling the doctor.
I'm very down.
Heh heh...
Actually, I don’t know *how* to begin...
But that likely won’t stop me.
So...while we were gone, the dog decided to pee in the middle of the office floor. Jr. ~said~ he’d let him out several times, but who knows.
Plus the cat is now limping. Something’s wrong with her back right leg/paw. Jr. thinks he startled her (which riled up the dog) and she got it caught on Nana’s chair lift. We’re watching it to see how bad it is.
