Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Heh, I think the kid was shocked more than anything. It was the first time any of the kids had ever fought back. It was kind of a hippy school, peace and love and all that. When the Spring Musical was about oil tankers polluting the ocean, we decided that was enough. We let him finish the year, then put him back in the Catholic School. He went back the fourth grade having completed Math up to the sixth grade. That, and letting him read whatever books he wanted, instead of forcing him to play with the other kids, was the only good that school did.
I have my moments.
Luke's gonna be a different story though. I've already told him he's not to start any fights, but he's also not to allow any one to hurt him.
I do have to fight the pc stuff...in many arenas...if yuh get muh drift...
....now back to your regular FReeping.
Heh...
Seventh grade. Danny L. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Danny was a proto-bully that had been punching his way through his short and stupid life. He was always picking fights with kids like me that didn’t want to take him up on it.
Till one day it was just one kick in the @ too much. I went totally ape on him. Blood everywhere. We both had the same PE class afterward and everybody got to see the aftermath. He was a mess.
It was perfect.
It ended his career as a bully. If some nerdy-dweeb like me could finish him, there was just no way he was gonna make anybody afraid anymore. Done.
Sounds like you pw3nd his sorry @$$.
LOL! I guess HE was shocked!
When I ran into my first bully in junior high school (who tried to kill me with a baseball bat), I managed to hold my own long enough for someone else to get the bat away from her, and then the gym teacher showed up to stop the fight.
I was suspended for three days, although I was attacked. I think I was given the same punishment as the bully because the school was afraid her family would come shoot up the joint. (They were notorious for gratuitous violence.) I wasn't punished --- in fact, my mamma actually came up to the school to defend me.
Bullies haven't changed ... they've just intimidated the school board administration ...
So sadly true. I'm glad our kids are out of school now, and we don't have to deal with that carp anymore.
Morning!
Miss Cat caught a mouse in the night.....good kitty!
Morning - Good Kitty. Did she bring it up to show you?
Gypsy making snow angels, bunny tracks all over the side yard. More than one? The squirrels found the peanuts out front.
Morning Corin - Heard the name but couldn’t place the face. Never saw bradybunch but did watch Andy Griffith and Phil Silvers, SGT Bilko - That’s going back aways. Thanks for the ping.
Nah...she left it in the middle of the floor looking a little cat-mangled.
Yeah, he was also on Gomer Pyle and All in the Family. Always played the friend.
Abby Kitteh: I has a dolphin
When the thread first went up, they didn’t have any pictures on it. I remember him, now.
Good kitty, but EEWWW!
Ha! I don’t have that problem!
At least it was an easy cleanup...not like I had to move the dryer or anything.
