The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

That one you linked to does seem pretty nice, and being able to cook two 12” pizzas seems big enough, although you wouldn’t be able to use the 9x13 baking pans in it or a very big cookie sheet. But I know what you mean about not wanting a glorified toaster oven, so it is kind of a dilemma.

Im doing a Ride-along in the spring with the med-flight at my hospital system. Waiting till its warmer.Huh!
Well, if nothing else, it'll be interesting to check out! It does seem like they'd deal with some scary situations as well as some of the most traumatic injuries and illnesses.

Leave it to a Dwarf with a fear of heights to talk you into getting into something that leaves the ground at a high rate of speed!

Leave it to a Dwarf with a fear of heights to talk you into getting into something that leaves the ground at a high rate of speed! Well FWIW, flying doesn't bother me.
To: Corin Stormhands
Like that makes any sense! ;o)

If being afraid of heights made any sense I could talk myself out of it.

Something tells me that you could talk Eskimos into buying ice, but point taken. {And I'm just funnin' with you}

Praise the Lord, Oh my soul!!!
Flash back to Christmas day. My MIL put a little wrapping paper packet that said “To Steve and Kim” on the Christmas tree. Inside was a $100 bill.
Fast forward to today...
Our trash comes today. I took it out to the curb earlier this morning. Well, I just now found some funky food in the fridge, so I loaded it into a sack and hoped the trash hadn’t come yet. It hadn’t and oh my...the wind had blown over our trash bin. Trash was all over.
Sighing, I reached down and started picking up the trash and lo and behold...there was the little wrapping paper packet. And guess what was inside.

I was giving God the praise and glory in Jesus’ name all over the house, I can tell you! Heh heh! The boys came running out of their room to see what I was preaching about!
Matthew said “Oh...I thought that paper was just trash. I thew it out.”
Well, at least he’s tidy.
