This Scenerio might be happening in case unpopular Musharraf loses.
Bhutto has been succeeded by her 19-year-old son Bilawal as party chief. However, the Oxford University student is too young to sit in parliament and has ...
Newly-appointed chairperson of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of slain former premier Benazir Bhutto, speaks during a press conference on Dec. 30, 2007.
According to the Pakistani constitution, the 19 year old cannot even stand for elections to the parliament-he needs to be 25 to do that.
Bhutto risked her life, knowing she would become a martyr if killed. This doesn’t mean her 19-year old son can run a factious country.

Mussharraf is not running for anything. he won his election in October. He is and will continue to be the President of Pakistan...he took off his army uniform to make the WH happy but he's still running the show.
Bhutto's boy is the party leader in abstentia...he's abroad in school and his father is running the party for now. The elections that are pending are parliamentary elections and as long as Musharraf stays alive it doesn't much matter who wins.
