Bill from Toronto predicted that Blackberry sales will hit $2 billion.
[snip] Many bloggers - especially the Apple devotees - have used this information to call out Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who earlier this year said, "There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance." [end] But anyway, I'm wondering if Blackberry sales have left $2 billion in sales far behind by now. :')
Northern California will have an earthquake over 9.0 in April, according to Neil.
By contrast, the SF earthquake early in the 20th century is estimated to have been a bit over 8.0 on the Richter scale, and each number represents a tenfold increase, i.e., 9.0 is ten times as much as 8.0 on the scale. A quake like that would be felt at least a little bit all over the continent. Anything in SF that didn't fall down would have to be torn down.
Dan in San Francisco foresees Osama Bin Laden calling for an end to the jihad and uniting the worldís religions.
I wonder what Dan sez about Neil's 9.0 prediction. ;') No chance bin Laden will do any such thing. I wonder what these Karnaks will do if some of the cynics are correct and bin Laden died in the Tora Bora air offensive?
Zahi Hawass will relent and reconsider the age of the Sphinx, according to Blair in Sedona.
That's actually a possibility, though remote. Egyptologist Rainer Stadelmann a few years ago jumped off the bandwagon and as much as admitted (and about time!) that the Sphinx doesn't look like Khafre; instead, he stated his case for the Sphinx' having been built by Khufu, father of Khafre.
A new, almost unlimited, source of water will be found in the Southwest US, near volcanic mountains.
Dunno about the geology of the SW, but like most who have driven through Arizona, I've seen a huge ancient former lava flow, so there is volcanic rock. No one is going to drill into an old volcano looking for water, though, so my estimate of the chances of this is zero.
Chris in Texas warned that Pakistan will lose a nuclear sub.
That'll be amazing, because Pakistan doesn't have a nuclear sub. "The Pakistani Navy currently operates a fleet of eight diesel-electric submarines."
Frequent C2C caller "JC" will be exposed as a government agent.
Hey, wait a minute... all these guys are standing up one at a time and shouting "I am JC!" Oh, how I wonder how a caller could possibly be so exposed. My guess (not being a listener to the show) is that "JC" probably calls in with kooky-talk regarding supposed covert projects involving extraterrestrials. ;')
Mothman incidents will return to PA area, starting on July 4th.
That figures too -- reports about Caterpillarman having eaten thousands of sweaters in storage in Pennsylvania are at an all-time high!
An undisputed unified field theory will take humanity into space, said Michael.
Michael has a little unified field theory in a baggie in his dresser drawer, that's what it sounds like.
Food prices will replace oil prices in news headlines.
"Food hits $100 a barrel." Nah, never work.
Marty in California predicts a UFO being downed in the Lake Tahoe area and seen by many witnesses.
Marty's neighbor Ken predicts a UFO being outed in San Francisco and seen by, well, anyway...
Lightning will become sentient and attack people.
The guy who predicted that one already has conversations with the duplex receptacles in his house.
Mark in Denver sees Bush revealing the next generation of stealth fighter, which will end up being the Black Triangles UFOs.
Not much point revealing a top secret next-gen stealth fighter. President Bush isn't Carter or Clinton.
After two more box office flops, Tom Cruise will renounce Scientology and become a born-again Christian, claimed Joey in Pahrump.
Tom Cruise in somebody's rump, that I'd believe.
The source of chemtrails will be revealed as nefarious climate modification.
I think that has already been done, about a billion times over fifteen years, and no one in their right mind has believed it even once.
Chris in Ohio predicts Mad Man Markham returning from his time travels and having answers about John Titor.
Chris cheated -- Mad Man Markham swung in out of the future and tipped him off.

Mad Man Markham
Everyzing.com
C2C synopsis
In 1995, then 21-year old Michael "Mad Man" Marcum stole six power transformers from a Missouri power station for use in a large scale "time machine" he was attempting to construct. In Art Bell's first interview with Michael "Mad Man" Marcum, originally recorded on April 18, 1995, he details the chronology of his "time machine" experiments. Marcum said he initially was trying to create a small "Jacob's ladder" (a spark that continuously travels between two metal rods), and to do this he used a laser from a CD player to produce the arcing. But during the experiment he noticed a strange shimmering effect above the arc. He threw a screw into it, which he said temporarily disappeared, possibly traveling "half a second into the future." Marcum then decided he wanted to try the experiment on a larger scale, and stole six unused power transformers from a Missouri power station. Subsequent experiments caused brownouts in the area, and eventually the police investigated, arresting Marcum for theft of the transformers. April 18, 1995

Predictions Special: 2008
Kicking off the New Year, Ian Punnett hosted Coast to Coast AM’s annual prediction show featuring psychics and prognosticators sharing what they see coming in the year 2008. In order of the guests’ appearances, here are some of the highlights:

Trendcaster Gerald Celente:

2008 will bring an “economic 9-11” in which big financial firms are going to collapse from the top down.
As greed and corruption are seeped out, there will be great opportunities for entrepreneurs to move into the failing system.
With the rise in food prices and property taxes, people can no longer afford things, and will revolt against the current tax system.

Web bot analyst George Ure:

The catastrophic collapse of the dollar will ignite a global meltdown.
During the winter/spring look for a natural disaster, likely wind related, such as an out-of-season hurricane.
In late March, a female leader, possibly from Central or South America will begin to receive media coverage regarding financial rebellion.
In May/June veterans will take over a national monument.

Paul Guercio of the Merlin Project:

On the Democratic side, John Edwards and Barack Obama are the two most likely candidates.
For the Republicans, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are the two strongest. Ron Paul could also get serious consideration and McCain may be a VP candidate.
Bloomberg could decide to run as an Independent if “the center is wide enough,” and he’d have a real shot at winning.
Global terrorism is going to make a “major comeback.”

Numerologist Glynis McCants:

The 2008 World Number Cycle is a 1. Everyone is impacted by this number but those with ambition and drive are likely to succeed.
Competition comes to the forefront, and it’s helpful to write down your goals.
The date of 8/8/08 will be noteworthy for something unusual, possibly of a political nature, occurring at the Olympics in China.

Intuitive Sean David Morton:

Entering a “1” year emphasizes our own will, imagination and a reaffirmation of our sense of self and personal power.
The dollar will actually strengthen but the stock market will slowly deflate, heading down towards 8,000 – 9,000.
There will be a lot more investment in the United States.
The film industry will begin shooting more in the US and the writer’s strike will end in the first half of April.
The “elite on the inside” are terrified of Ron Paul’s candidacy. He may eventually end up running for the governor of Texas.

Astrologer Mark Lerner:

A triangular pattern of Jupiter and Saturn represents opportunities and potential for financial advancement. The week or two before the dates of Jan. 21, Sept. 8th, and Nov. 21 has particular momentum in that regard.
The Federal Reserve could be entering a dangerous situation due to the positioning of Pluto.
The dollar will continue to crumble and investments in gold and commodities are advised.

By saying a “1” year, I assume he means, 2+0+0+8 = 10 = 1+0 = 1.

Wow, I guess I'm a psychic too, because I knew those. ;')

I predict that during 2008 Art Bell will FULLY retire from radio, to devote more time to pleasing his Filipino child-bride.

He will then become bored with her and abandon her for a younger woman.

He will then become bored with retirement and return to radio.

He will then become conduct another mass consciousness experiment and find out that he is, in fact, unconscious.

He will then accomplish a radio first by conducting an interview with an intriguing person and interrupting the interview only eight times for commercial breaks before getting to the heart of the matter.

Forecast for 2008

Intuitive Sean David Morton shared his forecast for 2008 and beyond. We have entered the astrological period of Pluto in Capricorn and in relation to this, we could see a “huge revolution” against the Federal Reserve and U.S. tax system, a breakdown in ecological systems, increased tectonic movements, the end of cheap oil, and a fight over natural resources, he detailed.

Among Morton’s other predictions & comments:
# Governments are becoming more fascistic and using technology to control people— there could be riots in Chicago and Seattle in response to this.

# The Subprime meltdown is going to get worse, and we’ll see the bottom of the housing market between June and August.

# Gold will continue to rise in value, eventually hitting 1200. Silver is a good buy and will rise to $30 by the end of the year.

# A diversified portfolio is best for investments, with about 30% in long term stocks such as Chevron, RTZ and GE.

# The dollar is going to rebound a bit this year.

# A war between India and Pakistan, possibly involving a nuclear exchange, is a concern this year.

# The Supreme Court will make a ruling in favor of gun owners this June.
