My name is Gennady Stolyarov II. In August of 2002, I founded The Rational Argumentator, an online magazine that has consistently presented and promoted the ideas of reason and liberty and the emancipation of individuals from the stifling grip of political tyranny. Today, the United States of America is faced with an unprecedented opportunity to bring the goal of complete individual liberty to fruition. Never before have the prospects for reversing the onward march of statism and central planning looked so bright as today - but this may also be our last chance to avert an economic calamity of unprecedented proportions. Accordingly, I am pleased to announce my full, unreserved endorsement of Ron Paul for President in the 2008 election.
If there is one word to describe the agenda of Ron Paul, it is liberty. If there is one text in which Ron Paul's ideas are encapsulated, it is the U. S. Constitution. The unwavering consistency with which Dr. Paul has defended liberty and the Constitution is astonishing in a world dominated by ceaselessly flip-flopping, compromising, backstabbing politicians. Dr. Paul is known in Congress as "Dr. No" for his steadfast refusal to vote in favor of any act of government that is not explicitly authorized by the Constitution. Representative Paul recognizes that simply because a particular action or principle might be good or valuable does not imply that the government ought to use taxpayer funds to pursue that action or principle. Dr. Paul, having practiced medicine as an obstetrician for decades, understands the vital importance of medicine - but he rightly refuses to allow the government to usurp this field.

Three questions for you:
1. If the money supply is fixed under a gold standard and the population increases, then the average net worth and wages must decrease in proportion to the increase in population. This results in deflation. Do you agree that historically periods of deflation have been more harmful than inflation. How would Ron Paul deal with that?
2. Why would you rather fight islamic terrorists on your own soil than fight them abroad?
3. While you rightfully are fearful for the decrease in freedom, do you have any concept of the reductions in freedom you’ll face once the terrorist bombs start to explode in the United States?
What, did somebody put out out a bunch of D-Con to bring all the Ron Ratz out?
Support whom you will, for whatever reasons you choose. Just don’t expect me to buy that Ron Paul should be president.
?
“wants to be president anyway and doesnt care what he says to get there.”
Name just ONE thing that Paul is saying different now than before he started running for President.
I already know you’ll never reply to this post.
One of my chief forum opponents is pushing Ron Paul and states that we are being poisoned by "ChemTrails". (Contrails from high altitude aircraftincluding the B-17s during WWII).

“...Name just ONE thing that Paul is saying different now than before he started running for President....”
Ron Paul has been running for president since 1988. I don’t know what he said before then and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t either. Ron Paul himself doesn’t really bother me or matter to me. Why should he? He has zero impact on anything that happens or will happen. He doesn’t even seem to have cognizance of most of it.
What is of greater concern to me are the people who follow him. They take almost no stock of political realities. Instead of advocating possible improvements such as tax cuts or better overseas intelligence capabilities or stiffer sentences for drug dealers, things we can really GET, they swing their hands wildly and let their broad brushes smear a serious effort with inane, unrealistic nonsense like “abolishing the IRS” or “Iran doesn’t have an army” or “let’s just legalize heroin.”
You wanted my answer so here’s a news flash: the IRS is not going away; Iran DOES have an army and even if it is less capable than ours it does have trucks and drivers and can drive a nuclear device to Lebanon and hand it off to Hezbollah, who can then move it closer to the target; and, nobody except a handful of people who have read one book by Ayn Rand and sent a check to Ron Paul shortly thereafter (because they now have it ALL figured out) is likely to favor legalizing heroin, ever.
Now, some people either don’t realize this and are dumb, or they do and yet keep pretending they don’t, in which case they are unscrupulous. If you’re arguing that Paul is merely dumb as a box of rocks and still thinks the IRS can be abolished if only he is elected president, well, you’re welcome to that argument.
“I dont know what he said before then”
You’re not the first person I’ve ask a question like I did with you though you are the first to respond.
First of all I am not a Ron Paul supporter. Shore to shore there are things he talks about will have to come sooner or later for this country to stand on its own 2 feet financially. Beyond our shores I can’t support the guy as I think he’s nucking futs.
I think there is as much chance as the IRS being abolished as heroin being legalized. None. I don’t know if he supports the flat tax but I’m against that simply because I don’t trust the politicians to not raise it as they think it’s needed. Either way the function of the IRS as tax collectors, whatever anybody wants to call it, would still be in effect.
As Tancredo ran on the illegal immigration issue I believe Paul is running on fiscal responsibility. As a country we’re broke with things looking worse as time goes by as nobody will ease up on the throttle towards the financial graveyard. DC is way way out of control and if the reins are not pulled in we are simply not going to live the way we have been. Matter of fact I can guarantee that it will not even get back to where it was any time soon. If fiscal responsibility does not become a political reality we’re sunk. 80% of Americans are against illegal immigration. How many are against the country spending billions and billions of money we don’t have? Very few. Unless Paul’s message is heard and acted on things will only get worse for us financially.
Do you think this man needs to be zotted?

OK. I wouldn’t dispute Paul or anyone else for that matter urging that fiscal sanity be restored in Washington. I worked there for decades in the alleyways of the federal government and I watched them just piss away money, your money, my money, any money they could get their hands on, even pretend money. I’m one of those people who knows for a fact that it’s even worse than you think it is, and you know how you feel about it. Well, it’s worse.
If anybody wants to go down there and sack the place, rout the bums outta there, and take our money back, I’m all in. I don’t even care if this specific instinct makes me otherwise some sorta libertarian nut job—as long as everyone understands here that the presidential electoral process is NOT gonna get any of us any of our money back, but at the very least it MIGHT give us someone who has the decency to not increase the skim. If what you’re saying jwh is that our politicians are basically just thieves, yeah, they are. Will they break the country’s financial back if left unchecked? Of course they will. There’s never “enough” for the people down there, and there never could be. They always want more.
As for the problem with millions of trespassers here further draining the treasury, of course it’s a major fiasco. But until recently the libertarians have never much cared about it either. They tended to focus on the jobs leaving, not the “workers” coming in. I’m not hostile to this viewpoint, that economic sovereignty is significant and that way too much has been “outsourced.” But that’s not as important as being invaded. To win my support, the libertarians need to accept a bigger government presence, and I mean at the border and the points of entry and in the immigration courts.
Choosing insanity, more likely.
Birds of a Feather Stick together.
Ron Paul is trying make Racism respectable again.
Just like David Duke trying to convince people he is not against the Jooosss.
They all speak with forked tongue.
Beware of the Anti-Christ.

Reagan denounced the KKK endorsement. Paul kept Don Black’s money.

My feelings haven’t caught up to what I think yet. I believe the government will tell us the truth only when it suits them otherwise I don’t trust a thing they say. I figure there is an ulterior motive in everything they do or say. My chagrin is that I don’t know enough on things to be able to really know what’s going on. Knowing they’re lying doesn’t tell me the truth or give me the facts. Either I’m too paranoid and things aren’t going to where I think they’re going or I’m right and very confused about what can be done to stop it.
Not really the point I was making. In fact, I think you’ve missed the point completely - who you vote for should solely be decided by where they stand on the issues.
