**Ladies and Gentlemen...it's the FR College Football 2007-08 Bowl Games Thread**
Posted on 12/19/2007 1:19:19 PM PST by GOP_Raider
It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)

LOL! I’m at work right now while trying to watch our game, so I’ve got to keep track of about two or three more things here than I normally would. :)
I am trying to do something different with the bowl games instead of doing everything at the top of the thread like I did during the regular season, I’ll re-ping everyone on the list and preview the match-ups of that day. It will probably delay my inevitable diagnosis of carpel tunnel syndrome, but I thought it would be a more efficient way to do it.
But thank you for reading and for the kind compliment.

The option is hard to defend against.
But Utah is lining up 7-8 defenders in the box and so far, they’ve done a good job of limiting Navy.

Have you looked at http://www.collegefootballnews.com?
They do a great capsule preview of each game.
They seem to think the New Orleans Bowl (Memphis v Florida Atlantic) has potential to be a shoot-out.
I hope so. I love games like that!

Wow. Great AFLAC trivia question.
Navy is one of four schools to produce a U.S. President (Jimmy Carter) and a Super Bowl-winning quarterback (Roger Staubach). What are the other three?
It took about 15 minutes but I figured them out:
Miami, Ohio (Benjamin Harrison, Ben Roethlisberger)
Michigan (Gerald Ford, Tom Brady)
Stanford (Herbert Hoover, Jim Plunkett or John Elway)
The tricky one is Miami O - “Home of the Big Bens”. LOL

We kind of have to stack 7 or 8 in the box in order to defend the option. It works with varying degrees of success whenever the Utes play Air Force.
