It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)
Thanks for that explanation!
So...how would one go about dotting the I? ;)
Thanks for that info, I would never have known that.
Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for all of the fun and laughs you’ve given us this football season!
I will say the TTU contingent on this list has made it extra special even for me. Nothing but the best for them in the Gator Bowl.
And for those of you in the TTU contingent going to that game, enjoy the “warmer than Idaho” weather. :)
55 degrees and lots of sunshine today in El Paso. Looking forward to the Sun Bowl.
Merry Christmas GOP Raider....BTW....What channel is the Blue-Grey game on. LOL!
Ooohhhh, pretty!
Thanks, and a Merry Christmas to all y’all Red Raiders! :)
Thank you. It is one of my small Christmas trees - I have another displaying “Texas” stuff, then the large one in the family room. We have a lot of fun adding to the Tech tree each season.
It would be wonderful, if college had a freaking playoff like just about every other sport known to man.
Which is why I pray Hawaii beats Georgia. No offense to Georiga; I’d hope Hawaii would beat any BCS team. Not that I’m expecting it, but every time a non-BCS team beats a BCS team in a major bowl it gets harder and harder for the arrogant BCS conferences to keep the little guys out of the national championship picture.
LOVE the tree!
Ah, there's a topic for a whole other thread altogether. But for the most part, I have to agree. I've addressed this sort of thing earlier in the season on the college football live threads, mainly because it's something that I've been bitching about for about 20 years now.
Sheesh, anyway, it's cold outside today...
How cold is it?
So cold that they had to play the Motor City Bowl indoors.
Don't laugh, it's not funny. But it is tonight's game...
Tonight, ESPN like right now. On ESPN, in high definition and everything! Go forth and spread the word!
THE Central Michigan University gets a FG to get within a score. 14-6 Purdue 24 secs left in the 1st quarter.
TD Purdue...it’s now 21-6...you think Central Michigan is a tad overmatched? Just asking...
Just got in and saw the 2nd quarter.
I’d have thought CMU would be a little more competitive than this.
Purdue has found the way to beat CMU are passes across the middle...in the 10-15 yard range. Painter is eating CMU alive with those.
You’re right, Purdue has thrown a lot of routes over the middle (mainly crossing routes from what I’ve been able to watch so far) and CMU just can’t stop it.
Did you see the stats for Painter in the 1st half? 15-22 339 yds 2 TDs and an INT. Wow.
There are a lot of football purists who despise games like the New Orleans Bowl, the Motor City Bowl, the GMAC Bowl...but I love ‘em.
Over the years, I’ve got to some some great games and had to opportunity to see some players before they hit it big in the NFL.
The guys who play in these bowl games play just as hard as the guys who are playing in the BCS games.
I’m the same way, although I spent the majority of my formative years watching the WAC where back then everybody’s offense was high powered. Even when Wyoming had a very solid defense in the late 80’s they could put a fair amount of points on the board.
The current incarnation of the old WAC schools (the Mountain West) doesn’t really have that anymore.
