Owens gives back: Wide receiver Terrell Owens’ foundation, in conjunction with JCPenney, awarded a family from Mesquite a $2,000 shopping spree Monday. Donnie Ebanks and Ursula Bell-Ebanks, along with their seven children, lost their home to a fire Oct. 25. Owens picked the family from among 500 e-mails that were sent to his Catch A Dream foundation.

The family is living with relatives until its home can be rebuilt. Owens will also help 80 other families with $50 gift cards from JCPenney, gift certificates from Brand Jordan and $500.

“I couldn’t be more thankful,” Ursula Bell-Ebanks said.
